ajxd
I've always thought these threads are fun. Keep it audio related. Turntables, speakers, amps, cables, upgrades, etc. No vinyl. I just bought a Parasound 2100 preamp. I am looking forward to having an all American audio setup. Next purchase is a Parasound 2125 power amp. ajxd
Gold Lions are some of my favorite tubes, but I'd read some reviews on what people are using. This could be a good start... http://mail.audiokarma.net/forums/showthread.php?s=1f1b766ebaa024a40d0ed16003ef4b16&t=344317
bearchuck
I'm one hundred percent serious ... and I done built me a lil' somethin' that I shall reveal soon enough. I also picked up a barely-used Grant Fidelity tubeDAC-11, which I've been pretty pleased with so far. I bought it because I needed a good DAC, but this unit has a lot of versatility and I've had fun experimenting.
ajxd
Nice. I was looking into that Dac before I got my Dac Magic.

ksuwdboots
I bought my first system from my local audio/hifi store a couple months ago: - Music Hall MMF 2.2 - Yamaha CR-440 receiver (used) - Grado SR225i headphones Also, I ordered the Music Hall acrylic platter a couple weeks ago and am waiting for it to come in. kannibal
Oh come on! You didn't know what you were getting into. I'm jealous of people buying stuff. I don't need anything at the moment, but I helped a friend upgrade the cartridge on his rp1from that POS OM5e to an AT440MLa. Huge difference! The thing killed my test record, too! Acing the tracking tests. It's a lot of fun comparing before and afters.

jared
Thanks! Yeah, that cartridge was pretty pricey, but I kind of just went for it and glad I did, because I feel like it might the culmination of everything that they were doing with the 2M series as well as the rest of the Cadenza series. Edit: Those speakers and the turntable were a steal at 40% off.
