  1. same. SSD now along with CDUniverse, Bull Moose and a local shop. I'm feeling a little confident in BM, but that RecordFlipper dude made me a bit anxious about getting one. If the stars align and I get lucky enough at least my brother can get one and maybe I can hold one for a fellow VCer as well. This whole thing is stressful and dumb lol but It's worth it
  2. No. That guy was probably just obsessive about having a rare variant. There's far more completed listings for double yellow than for yellow/clear (just one other I could find). I can't think of any other reason why the price on that one would be so astronomical. Pretty dumb IMO.
  3. Yeah nowadays she also puts up some regular LPs for sale at a normal price or puts them up for auctions. I've been able to get some pretty crazy cheap stuff from LazyLab
  4. well so much for "exclusive color" haha. The art print, cocktail recipe and postcard are exclusive to the subscription though. They either had this already planned or decided to make the clear available for wide release to people who still wanted some kind of variant but were disappointed by how the deluxe came out.
  5. He's def still in NJ. In fact, I got my tracking # this morning which finally confirmed that. Looks like he just shipped it out too, meaning he wasn't telling the truth about having sent it out before. Glad that I have some solid info at last, but I'm still unsure of this whole situation. I don't even know if I can take his word on the condition of the record anymore, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. As I said before, he's been really nice in his replies judging by his past feedback/contributions, seems like a decent guy and a passionate collector who wouldn't be out to screw anybody over. Even if it does arrive in great condition, I don't know if this transaction calls for no feedback, neutral feedback, or negative feedback.
  6. No info on him whatsoever. I just double checked my PayPal activity and it only gives me his name and email. There's nothing on his Discogs account that gives away any sort of location either. He seems to have made quite a few comments and contributions on the site and has a 100% buyer and seller feedback, so I'm pretty confused by this whole thing. I guess all I can do is hope for a reply or just wait until Monday as you suggested. EDIT: welp so googling his email address led me to his old band's facebook page where it's listed, and it turns out he's located right here in Jersey. wow
  7. I'm currently having a Discogs dilemma myself. Not like OP's case, but I thought I'd post it in here instead of making a new thread So about a little over a month ago I purchased a record off this dude. It came out to around $35 bucks, which isn't too expensive, but it's not cheap either. He had great feedback so I wasn't worried. About a week & 1/2 passes with no shipping info so I shoot him a message asking if he sent it out. I wasn't impatient or anything, just curious. He sends a super nice reply and states that he shipped it out the week before, however he didn't include a tracking #. I just figured he forgot to mention it, so I sent him another message and got nothing. A while later he comes out of the blue saying he called the post office to track the package and that it had been delayed by the snow in his area (I have no idea where he is located but I wanted to believe that's the case). So again, I asked him which carrier he used and if I could have the tracking info. He ignores that for a few more days and then comes to me apologizing saying the record was sent back to him, but that he upgraded my shipping to priority. Only then did he finally disclose that he used USPS, so I make a small comment about how the weather's been and that I understand stuff gets delayed sometimes, then asked if he could give me the info. He ignores my question and only responds to the first comment. I just asked him again, though I'm not expecting anything but another excuse. To his credit, he's been *mostly* doing a decent job at keeping me updated, but for the life of me I can't understand why he's being so shady about details such as his location, the carrier he used or the tracking #. I understand that delays happen, and I have no problem waiting a month or more for a record as long as I have information that lets me know that it is actually on its way. According to his story, the record should have arrived today via priority. It has not, so I'm gonna wait until tomorrow or thursday to just ask for a refund. Is this justified?
  8. They already are printing money with the unlimited press that will be released after. I think they're jumping on the RSD bandwagon just to hype up the reissue even more
  9. My brother and I were like 50th in line and still managed to easily snag copies of Government Plates on BFRSD. Also I managed to get myself a copy of the Red House Painters boxset last week. I've got a good feeling about this one. The vinyl gods are watching over me
  10. did it come with the slipmat as well or were those packaged separately? I didn't get the split today so I wasn't sure if different components of the bundle were being shipped out at different times
  11. Knowing them I think it'd just be like foil numbered. I'd still try and grab it tho
  12. Bull Moose has it up for 22.97 http://www.bullmoose.com/search?q=mumford&upc=810599020712,810599020729,810599020736
  13. I'm glad they just decided to stay with black. Depending on what that "special packaging" consists of (something signed?) I might camp out a little early or not
  14. I think there's a good chance it could see a wider release after RSD, given how huge the demand is
  15. Really? I had no idea if that was true or not. I kinda just avoided news about that when it surfaced.

  18. I guess it's cause it sold out online before it did in stores and not everyone has access to a store. I noticed several local places like record stores and Urban Outfitters had several copies of these when they were already completely gone from Amazon and elsewhere.
  19. I paid like $30 for this last month haha. I wasn't sure it would get repressed (at least not anytime soon) considering how things went down with Epic. But eventually I sorta saw this coming though after NLDW started popping up everywhere on the web again like a week ago. There has to be a wide release for Gov't Plates now
