  1. A1. Wussy Pillow B1. Secret Drinker 100 Opaque Pink 7"s (Ice Age Exclusive) 400 Black 7"s Listen here: http://www.avclub.com/article/glocca-morra-proffers-its-own-eulogy-2-final-songs-216174 While it upsets me to no end that these guys gave up on this band in favor of other projects and being lazy and likely internal resentment, I am glad they put this out. Though I think they should have put in a little more effort and done like 4 songs, this a great cap to the band and hopefully the tour won't be a shit show. Opaque pink is almost gone.
  2. would be cool if the center labels were like this too
  3. ive been so hesitant to pick this record up, and now i know why. could easily see these selling out though.
  4. fingers crossed the critical acclaim this will receive will inspire at least some of these dudes to continue to collaborate under the Self Love moniker.
  5. holy shit... all i can say is.. holy shit. i love that this sounds like neither of the bands yet you can hear most all members shining through. LOVE the double drum break in "95" and the last 40 seconds of "Low Beams" ...holy shit
  6. in for the clear w/ purple. cant wait for new DP and i really really like this artwork
  7. Same, but i figured the starburst will look beautiful and the packaging will be nice. More importantly, often times hearing something on vinyl opens my brain up to process and grow fond of the music in a clearer manner.
  8. lest we forget about this totally weird split! https://oldflamerecords.bandcamp.com/album/sleeping-bag-rozwell-kid-dreamboat
  9. Dream Blue Haze is probably my favorite but this whole album is so good, it feels so complete, like an album not just 10 songs. The lyrics are all really good and most are absolutely crushing, Kimi sings a lot more on this than you may think! Also note that the lyrics for "Walk You to Bed" and "Tension" are switched on the sheet. .
  10. definitely different from anything they've put out except maaaybe "Flowing Through," even sounds different from "Call Me at Night" and "Thin." Definitely added a plethora of new sounds to their wheelhouse. I'd say the main difference is that these songs are less riffy and more chord- based. Also not sure if its just the production quality but the reverby effects featured on Clear My Head With You are very scaled back.
  11. Not trying to be negative but it gets so annoying seeing pages full of "can u get me the special variant" especially when the actual release show is so far away. For I am King all they did was a screen printed cover out of 50 or something. Since the pressing is markedly smaller I assume the same or less for this record release. Not only that but this album is amazing and I feel there are a lot of aspects with which we could use this thread to discuss
  12. got my shirt in today, the reflective ink is so damn cool
  13. hadn't seen a few of these like the smoke and orange starburst in the corner till now. honestly i think you can tell the difference between the teal and the green pretty quickly!
  14. ALL OF THIS SO MUCH. I've tried and tried to get into IBTT, but its just so sloppy - the writing, the sometimes jam-packed lyrics, the focus and flow... its just not coherent. it honestly offends me a bit that this record is in the same regard as some of the awesome albums from 2014, it doesn't even hold a candle to stuff like Kingfisher or Home Like NoPlace, or even Forgettable. i'm giving the songs one last shot when i see them with Runaway Brother this month, but i'll likely be parting with my copy soon after.
  15. way back in 2010 like *right* after IIOI/KOJI came out I saw him with about 12 other people ending an all day fest at 1 AM. it was by far my favorite performance of the 8 or so i've seen, just wish i would have known more of the words then!
  16. id say Ned's vocal contributions are just right for the songs and in the context of the album. of their ~52 songs he is the lead on quite a few of them and i'm sure he will contribute more on the next release. from the stereogum cover story it seemed like he wrote most of the lyrics for this album, though he could just be speaking generally about the lyrical process. as far as this maybe not being enough for people, i find a lot of these songs to be their "bounciest" and i'm sure Ned will be just as energetic as he is while playing older songs
  17. will say that both "In Between," and "Hypnotize" from Spring Songs flow well into "Murder Your Memory"
  18. got this in today with no shipping notification, from ANTI-. Noticed in the liner notes it says "All songs written by Title Fight and Will Yip." anyone know how much he was involved with this? was he like a fifth member of the band or just more present in refining the songs in studio?
  19. Just received this stoked theyre willing to ship the stuff separately.
  20. Young luck gone ALREADY!? fml. will pm you tho
