My first thought was god damn, that tape is huge. Then I realized it was a CD next to it. I'm an idiot sometimes.

I just paid 40 for an Elektra Master of Puppets at a record fair. Was in great condition though. He was trying to get $60 for it. About two years ago I got a Justice for about $25. Prices are definitely shooting up.

I did post a question on the Pledge Music discussion board, and got this reply.

So sorry for the delay. We were hoping to handle fulfillment after the digital release was finished, but we have fallen behind schedule in the recording process. We'll receive the balance of our funding after the digital album is released. That final installment will help us with manufacturing of t-shirts, posters, CDs...etc.

In the meantime, we're looking into fulfilling packages that include existing merchandise. The "Golfshirt" package falls within that category, and we'll do our best to ship those out first.

Pioneer has been guilty of making some utter rubbish over the years but luckily the PL 540 is one of thier better products especially if its a wood veneer rather than silver one.

If your 540 is in good condition I would stick with that, I doubt you will hear much of an improvement and it will hold its value better as well.

If it needs a service spend the money on that and a better cartridge but if its worn out then by all means look at a new Project.

Sorry, just now getting back to respond, thanks for the reply. Yeah, my 540 is in great shape, although it is the ugly silver finish, and not the wood veneer.  I might just try to veneer it myself, someone did theirs over on Reddit and it it turned out pretty amazing.

I missed this Good Riddance album, if anyone scored an extra, please hit me up.

Put in an order a few days ago at a local store and it just came in. $40 + taxes at Sonic Boom in Toronto for anyone local. 

Comes with a lyric insert as well.

 

 

 

Waiting for mine from Bull Moose.  How does it sound?

I've been thinking about upgrading my TT.  Have a Pioneer PL-540 with an Ortofon Red.  Would this be a worth upgrade?  I haven't looked into the Project TTs that much.

Just letting you guys know that this is apparently 19 days away from release.  Been patiently waiting for that self titled record for a long time...

Are these black or on colored vinyl like the standard release?

Just got an email from New on Vinyl, UGK's "Ridin' Dirty" is getting its first pressing on vinyl.  This was a classic rap album from the 90's, shame is has to be imported...  Release date is May 5th.  Double LP on coke bottle clear vinyl.  Couldnt find how many are being pressed.

I would love to have this album, but not sure I can justify the price tag.

I wonder how many people in this thread will be buying either TFOT albums? If so, will you go through EV or ETR?

You guys can pay me $12 bucks a month for a record and I'll even let you keep them.  They will be curated from the local thrift bin.
