Has anyone actually gotten their pre-order of the last Bliss Fields LP from Acrobat Unstable Records yet?

I just looked it up, I ordered it in November last year and have not yet received any update from the label since. It's still listed on the label site as a pre-order. Obviously with the general vinyl craze I understand any pre-order may take a long time, I've got no issue there. Just wondering if something may be wrong with my particular order or if these aren't even in the wild yet.

Their Instagram is the best place for answers on delays.

  2. I was looking forward to this album being I liked the singles and I really liked Oliver Appropriate so I was hoping he'd be back on a streak after how bad Hebrews and IDTIS were. Max is a great artist and I won't question his reasons to his approach but this album is one that could have and should have been good and it's not. My main gripes are the vocal effects that seemed overdone and unnecessary, the child blabbering for over a minute on Jawbreaker (that was insufferable but I also hate kids), and the weirdest inserts and transitions with vocals. A lot of it didn't flow and felt careless. Half the time I couldn't tell what he was going for. If these songs were reworked I think it could be a good album but that isn't happening. At least I didn't preorder it. In perspective I can't see people going back to this down the road.

If I dig into my old Interpunk account and look at when I started buying vinyl in 2006. The prices of vinyl were just wonderful, the shipping to Canada was great too! Ahh, when life was much simple.

Soon enough we'll be those people that say "things were better back in my day!" Haha. But for fun, if you haven't already, run an inflation calculator on what you paid then and see how it matches the market today. I think it's interesting. And depressing! :)

All things aside it's really sick that 18V is doing this and I look forward streaming it soon.

$40 really??? I'm about to be priced out of this hobby

One could argue you're getting 2 albums at $20 each but I understand where you're coming from. I've had to say no to more releases lately than ever before. As someone collecting since 2010 it's a bit depressing lol. I ran an inflation calculator with prices I paid back then versus now and it's not just inflation's fault that's for sure.
