In this scenario, did the 4th teacher pay for his education? Tom took on all these extra projects at his own volition, that's his fault. That's like having a third person hold you back from going to dinner because they want to finish 3 other irrelevant projects they decided to do just for the hell of it. I understand what you're saying however many bands have replaced integral members in the past and carried on to do worthwhile things. I like to use Further Seems Forever as a good example, The Moon Is Down is a pinnacle release for the band, however I think How To Start A Fire and Hide Nothing (both fronted by different vocalist), we extremely good and vastly underrated albums that wouldn't have existed had then thrown in the towel. Penny Black was good, but also felt like it was too little too late. Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs were straight up lack-luster releases that did nothing to revitalize Blink-182.

What Tom did was willingly add the 4th test and then complain that he didn't have time for the first 3.

Honestly, I don't find this very tragic. They were phoning it in with Neighborhoods and DED EP, that made it clear. I just find it hard to take anything Tom says seriously, especially when he tries to be all artsy-fartsy with his statement. He doesn't have time for this band, his prerogative. Seems like them shoving contracts in his face was the only way to get him to do shit for the band. I say good riddance and wouldn't find it at all weird if they carried on without him as Blink 182, he artistically quit the band 10 years ago.

These comments always make me laugh. Scott drummed in blink for what, basically two real albums and roughly 4 years. Travis played on every big hit the band had, and has drummed with Blink for over a decade and counting. He is the drummer that matters

i completely agree. i know that if i put a lot of effort into someone's gift and never heard from them again, i'd be pretty bummed we're not talking "did you thank aunt trudy for the gift card?" here...it's clear looking through all the photos that were posted, that people really put a lot of thought and time and effort into putting together really awesome gifts. for a lot of us, i really feel like half the fun of doing SS is in seeing your person's reaction to all the stuff that you spent so much time picking out for them. i feel like that part's just as exciting as opening my own gift.
 
i just think it seems really inconsiderate and ungrateful for someone to get a gift and not be capable of taking 5 minutes to acknowledge it and say "thank you".
 
especially since "post what you got and say thanks" is actually mentioned in the official rules and mike tried to contact these people multiple times. he shouldn't have to chase someone down to get them to do something that's really just basic manners in the first place. :/

Hey you're really welcome man, I would have personalized your package so I apologize for you getting it straight from Amazon without any bells and whistles, but I originally intended to send you the tickets in a separate santa gift. Just so you know, everything worked out with the tickets and I was able to sell them so no harm no foul. It was my fault for not double checking before buying such an area-specific item. By the way, I have literally no idea what those postcards are and Amazon must have shipped you the wrong record because I didn't order you St. Lucia hahahah. I got you the new Bleachers album since I saw you had the 7" single but not the LP. I'll make sure that gets corrected, but in the meantime, that St. Lucia album rules. I love it, at least. That was a lucky mistake. Also I had to take a shot in the dark--I hope you rep the blue barracudas, I was a purple parrots kinda guy myself. Merry Christmas man.

Thank you. Thank you for the handwritten letters. It's actually nice to read something on a piece of paper than in an actual email. Loved the little stickies you posted on everything. I loved that you got something that you might think i'd like and explained why you thought it'd be a good idea to listen to them. i will definitely be listening to them (once i get a record player in the next week or so (mine broke). But that brittle.. oh man. so digging into that tomorrow when i get to work. at least one bag of it. I have to admit, never heard of the band records you sent, but i'm anxious to listen to them. Again, thank you for the much needed gift. it really made my xmas since mine was a bust this year. it made me smile inside and out.

Those aren't Newbury exclusives. ALL retailers will have those colors.
 
Hot Topic will be the only place that has exclusive colors for either of these and the HT colors on these releases are much better looking.
