Of which there's also no tri-fold insert.

Mine arrived, and there is a tri-fold insert with band photos. Visually everything is absolutely phenomenal and easily the best record packaging I have received this year. Attention to detail throughout is awesome and I just keep staring at it all. I haven't spun the records yet as I debate the next step--because I did not get the screen-print. I emailed Matt at Steadfast to ask if there are any available and attached to the teal copies in the store. Although right now I am not sure I'd give up the three different colors of wax for the screen-print as I said previously. Definitely frustrated about the lack of screen-print wrap, but overall I think long-term I'll probably forget about it if I can't get one because everything else is so stunning.

If you manage to get hold of one by buying rather than trading, I'll gladly purchase the band variant from you.

I'll keep you in mind. Going to wait and see what is in my package that is supposed to be delivered today. After that I'll reach out to Steadfast. I actually love Steadfast Records and Matt does a great job--I've always had fantastic experiences with them. Unsure what happened with this situation.

Of course I don’t have any way to prove it now, but I know there was definitely mention of the screen print on the band’s Bandcamp version.
    My copy should arrive today.

This all seems very fishy. Also expecting my copy today of the band variant. I am 99% sure the band variant pre-order mentioned the screened overlap--I was way more excited about this than the three different colors of vinyl. Had I known the band variant didn't include the screen print, I would have ordered the teal variant from Steadfast. Anyone want to trade an unopened copy of the band variant for an unopened copy of the teal that includes the screen print? I assume the overwrap screen would not be included in the teal copies still in the Steadfast store, reading the email quote from Derek.

Hmmmm.... I've still never been blown away by this band. Bones of What You Believe was ok, and it feels like each album got more predictable. Will have to see what the single sounds like.

I'm with you here. I LOVE LP1, but I found LP2 and LP3 more and more bland and without the edge they had when they started. I do own the first three on wax, but won't buy the new one until I hear the full album. I do like the cover art and the potential combination of red vinyl.

Did you open the standard white version?

Hopefully the pink+blue isn't completely sold out.

I opened it, and they said to send it back anyway, which I did. And they never seemed to question that they had more pink & blue and the rep sounded confident it would be shipped today. I am also expecting my pink deluxe from Amazon today. Second City Prints is definitely a disaster, and still frustrated about the lack of download code.

Finally got mine in the mail, ordered pink+blue and the sticker on the back says it's pink with red/black.

Not sure if it's even worth emailing Second City customer service.

I have been emailing them back and forth for a week, and they are finally sending me my Deluxe Pink & Blue, after I send them back the standard white. They emailed me a return shipping label, and said they'd send the replacement priority mail.

  7. Seeking to buy a copy of the Fountains of Wayne- "I Want An Alien for Christmas" 7". I've been tracking it on Discogs and eBay for quite sometime, and the only copies currently for sale are overseas for me with high shipping costs. That said, I'd prefer to buy it from someone in the USA, but I am flexible. Would also be willing to make a trade, here is my Discogs profile: https://www.discogs.com/user/drenchedecent

Yes, I ordered as soon as it was announced, and got an email saying the price had dropped.

This is fascinating and bizarre. Did they issue you a refund for the difference?

I also see that the price of the US blue limited edition dropped from $42.99 to $32.99. I can't think of another example of a price of a pre-order dropping by ten dollars in the first couple days it is available.

They had a US store up for their last album (wolfalicestore.com), but it's been taken down since. RCA is pretty decent-sized, and is also owned by Sony, so you'd think they'd provide more US support than this.

At least the black vinyl is reasonably priced...

Yeah, I am probably going with the black from BullMoose. Maybe between now and June there will be a blue version that is cheaper.

  10. Pumped for this album! I just watched the YouTube premiere of the new song "Last Man on Earth" and quite honestly, I was mind-blown. I love their music, but the song was so much better than I could have imagined. I actually ranked "My Love is Cool" as my #1 album of the 2010-2019 decade.

Definitely going to pre-order, it just a matter of where and how. With an album title of "Blue Weekend" I definitely want a blue variant, but the $42.99 in the US Rough Trade store is silly (don't need a bonus CD). I did find it for $20.97 on BullMoose, but assuming that is standard black:

  11. On Target: Agreed they ship terribly, and that the B2G1F is hard to pass up. However, it is important to note that Target has great customer service, and will often give you a full refund, and you don't have to return the item. A couple of examples:

I ordered a record from them a few months ago, and the first copy was destroyed in a plastic bag. I sent it back, and got a replacement, which was in a giant box. The second copy was only slightly dinged, but I complained again. This time I didn't have to send it back, they sent a third copy, and I got a full refund. I wound up with two copies of the record for free and sold one on Discogs for 50% off. So I made money off this Target experience. :)

Then one of my kids got two of the same $20 LEGO set for Christmas. One was from me, and one from a grandparent. I bought mine from Target, and went online to return it. To my pleasant surprise, they refunded me my money, and then told me I could keep or "recycle" the set.
