PO: Tyler, The Creator - WOLF
JacobMckinley replied to vc2020's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I just picked my copy up, 33 bucks at the shop. First impression is the bass sounds incredible, they really took good care with this release. Hopefully the success of this one will prompt a "Doris" release. -

Chance The Rapper- Acid Rap
JacobMckinley replied to Ratsky9's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I picked one of these up at my local shop today. I have to say that the audio I'm hearing is very compressed sounds no different to my ear than a mid quality mp3 Now i will say its possible i may have gotten a crummy copy, but i would find it unlikely that different presses have different sources. -
Rare Bob Dylan Record? Help Needed!
JacobMckinley replied to lewisdb's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
No Problem, I remember about 5-6 years ago when i was studying abroad, there was a shop in Camden that had some pretty impressive rarities. I wish i had more details on what it was called. For the record, your copy is at least rare enough that everyone that has read it here as well as over on the hoff forums hasn't heard of it. EDIT: i mention the Camden shop because the owner had a pretty keen eye for identifying the obscure. -

I saw your post on Steve Hoffman, i'm not too sure your going to get more definitive answers here than you would over there. -

2014 Record Store Day - April 19
JacobMckinley replied to gmoney's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I don't know if paying 90 bucks for the two of the things i want could be considered "worth it" but just the same: Childish Gambino - Because the Internet Devo - Live at Max's Everly Brothers - Roots Everly Brothers - Songs our Daddy Taught Us. Man Man - Man in Turban with Blue Face Notorious BIG - Life After Death -

It looks like it's just the album spread out and then disc 5 looks to be a CD. I wouldn't be surprised if this was 45 RPM. -
Ryan Adams - Love Is Hell (MoFi)
JacobMckinley replied to nyhi's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I can vouch for this 100% the OG pressing sounds very tinny compared to this one IMO, almost no mid range either. -

if i'm not mistaken isn't this version of Shadowlands the same one as the Japanese import? -
Lets. It's fantastic, i feel like shows like this and True Detective are really turning TV cinematography into a high art form that rivals and in some cases trumps some modern films.
