  1. I just picked my copy up, 33 bucks at the shop. First impression is the bass sounds incredible, they really took good care with this release. Hopefully the success of this one will prompt a "Doris" release.
  2. I picked one of these up at my local shop today. I have to say that the audio I'm hearing is very compressed sounds no different to my ear than a mid quality mp3 Now i will say its possible i may have gotten a crummy copy, but i would find it unlikely that different presses have different sources.
  3. No Problem, I remember about 5-6 years ago when i was studying abroad, there was a shop in Camden that had some pretty impressive rarities. I wish i had more details on what it was called. For the record, your copy is at least rare enough that everyone that has read it here as well as over on the hoff forums hasn't heard of it. EDIT: i mention the Camden shop because the owner had a pretty keen eye for identifying the obscure.
  4. Looks like Music Millennium up here in Portland is going to have between 3-5 copies in the morning.
  5. I saw your post on Steve Hoffman, i'm not too sure your going to get more definitive answers here than you would over there.
  6. I went to Music Millennium in Portland at about 5 this afternoon. I was amazed at what was still available, i got: The Everly Brothers - Roots Man Man - The Man in a Blue Turban with a Face Notorious BIG - Life After Death Childish Gambino - Because the Internet Surfer Blood - Pythons (Demos) I also picked up "Humbug" by the Arctic Monkeys. All in all, a good day.
  7. for me: Death Grips - Ex Military (found this at music millennium for 14 bucks when it came out) Ryan Adams - Live After Deaf (almost had a heart attack when the kungfu shop went down)
  8. Just picked this up at Music Millennium. It is always so refreshing when i can get a new rap record that was actually pressed legitimately.
  9. I am in Portland, Oregon. It came round midday from either ups or fedex, i dont recall.
  10. About a month ago i finally decided to throw caution into the wind and try my hand at being a semi professional photographer. http://jacobmckinleyphotography.tumblr.com (My tumblr Until i can afford a website). I sure would appreciate a follow from you fine folks. EDIT: TOTALLY NSFW! (Sorry Cholly)
  11. If any of y'all are in the portland area, Music Millennium was selling this when i was in there yesterday. After hearing the single i need to go in and snag a copy.
  12. I don't know if paying 90 bucks for the two of the things i want could be considered "worth it" but just the same: Childish Gambino - Because the Internet Devo - Live at Max's Everly Brothers - Roots Everly Brothers - Songs our Daddy Taught Us. Man Man - Man in Turban with Blue Face Notorious BIG - Life After Death
  13. I don't know how many of you heard this fantastic album from last year, but they finally released a vinyl version in the last couple weeks. http://jamaicanqueens.bandcamp.com/album/wormfood get it while it's hot!
  14. I was actually referring to the black. It's crazy i went to 4 different shops in town and they were either sold out or hadn't received any.
  15. Haven't been able to track one of these down in Portland as of yet. anybody live here that bought one from a shop?
  16. Just picked up a pair of Grado GS1000i's from a local HiFi shop in Portland. Even not broken in, all i can say is....damn.
  17. It looks like it's just the album spread out and then disc 5 looks to be a CD. I wouldn't be surprised if this was 45 RPM.
  18. I can vouch for this 100% the OG pressing sounds very tinny compared to this one IMO, almost no mid range either.
  19. if i'm not mistaken isn't this version of Shadowlands the same one as the Japanese import?
  20. Lets. It's fantastic, i feel like shows like this and True Detective are really turning TV cinematography into a high art form that rivals and in some cases trumps some modern films.
