  1. How 'bout a design with an old-school Victrola?
  2. All it all comes down to Harry Potter....I knew it!!!!! I know I said I had yet to watch last night's episode but still went ahead and read the post...my dad told me about most of the episode this morning when I asked him how the episode was...he's a huge fan as well...
  3. I'd rather do something different. Otherwise they could've already slapped that thing on a shirt a long time ago. True. I have no other good ideas for this...
  4. Are you gonna use the VC logo as main one?...you know the one on the front page under the banner "enter the store"?...I like that one...It would look good as a big image on the back with the Virgil's quote underneath.
  5. I say 2-3 hours for each of those. Maybe less for the Dolly.
  6. It's all in how the vinyl is packaged. The shipping method is really irrelevant.
  7. Ronnie...you're not alone dude. I am hardcore into this show. One of the very few shows that I have been religiously watching. I missed last night's episode as I was at the Minus The Bear show...but did record it. I'll watch it tonight after I get home.
  8. The show last night was also 18+...which I found kinda odd since there seemed to be a lot of younger kids there. Or maybe it's because I am kinda old and jaded that they all seem young to me now... Holy shit!...Did I just become an aging hipster with that statement?
  9. I really like the way that Elliott's 'U.S. Songs' is packaged with a die-cut cover that opens up. The wax itself was colored.
  10. I hear that brotha! There is still time and hope!
  11. Here's an ignoramus question...how do you do the screen capture as you guys have done?
  12. It's the tour-only press (clear w/ gold splatter...which by the way, looks awesome in person). I bought it last night at their Ft. Lauderdale show and got the band to sign it afterwards. They were the nicest guys ever.
  13. My brother just got me this week the Deluxe Edition of 'Weezer' (blue) with the extra disc with live and demo tracks...it is so damn good... I can't wait to hear this compilation. Thanks for the info Kirby and Scott!
  14. I'm a street team member and can guarantee you that the "tasks" will be retarded...they pretty much make you jump through hoops and do all kinds of shit. If I didn't have a full-time job...or went to school full-time...I'd have time to do some of that...but c'mon...this is always nothing more than a pissing contest. Especially with some of the overzealous BN fans out there. Edit:...here are the "tasks" for this week: *post the tour poster as your default photo on myspace, facebook, virb, etc. You must keep this photo up for the duration of the contest. *post ticket info/show info on the facebook marketplace. *post Millstone as your profile song on myspace, virb, facebook, etc. *use last.fm and listen to the devil and god
  15. I just got home from the Minus The Bear show and my brother told me the final score...damnit! I bow my head in shame for being a Red Sox fan...BUT...there's still time and hope...!!!!!!
  16. So here is the story about the records... They finally arrived at my house after much stress and worry...barely in time too...must have been around 4:45pm when UPS finally showed up with them. Five boxes of the clear with gold splatter...trust me...eBay came across my mind quick! (I'm just playin' Virgil!) Called Dave Knudson and met up with the band and Steven (merch guy supreme) to turn the records over to them. They were very, very grateful for the favor of getting the vinyl to them. The show was amazing. They played every song I wanted to hear...all of them!...their set list was close to the same one that Scott posted in the thread on the other board. The crowd was mixed but there were quite a few assholes who clearly were not fans and did not belong there. I got to hang around for a bit after the show and mostly shoot the shit with Steven. During that time at the merch table, I witnessed a lot of people buy the vinyl. I was pretty impressed with that and at one point, some kid started asking about it...I of course kicked down some knowledge and also plugged VC and wrote down the website address for him and encouraged him tom check it out and become a part of the community. I picked up two copies of the repress, one of which I got the band to autograph...I'm such a nerd! Overall it was a memorable experience. I am glad that I was able to help the band and Virgil out and it was no biggie. Now if I could get my hands on one of them test presses...
  17. Original thread with updates and pic of cover: http://vinylcollective.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1192051546
  18. I will keep saying that I will still buy it no matter what...yeah...I am that much of an uber-fan!
