  1. Perhaps the title of the thread should be changed to "Pictures of people with tattoo's of bands they're not in". Seems applicable.
  2. Jollyronnie = not so jolly. Only losers pay $12 for a record. If this was priced at $25, hell, even $35, I'd totally buy it, but at $12.....I think not. I kid, I kid.
  3. WHITE WIZZARD are due to release their new studio album, THE DEVILS CUT, on June 3rd in Europe via Earache Records, and preorders for the CD and vinyl will be available on our webstore from 1pm EDT on Friday, May 10! The album features artwork by CAMERON DAVIS, who is known for his work as lead character designer and illustrator for the Guitar Hero video game series. The link you'll want to keep saved is here: http://earache.com/uswebstore/index.php/cPath/667_674_706
  4. Earache is going to reissue Nocturnus - Thresholds on 4 different color variants if they hit their 60 day kickstarter goal. Bummed they have to go about it this way as this album is a ripper. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1927808414/nocturnus-thresholds-1992-vinyl-lp-record-new-pres Earache Records has launched its first ever Kickstarter campaign, offering fans a new 2013 printing of the classic NOCTURNUS album THRESHOLDS, fully endorsed by the band's founding member and drummer MIKE BROWNING. Recorded at the legendary Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida and originally released in 1992, THRESHOLDS became a new benchmark for technical death metal and has become a regular request from fans since going out of print. The fan-funded repressing will see the album taken from the original DAT tape, mastered in FDR (Full Dynamic Range), and cut by NOEL SUMMERVILLE, who was responsible for the original vinyl cut. If the demand is met, the new NOCTURNUS vinyl pressing will be available in the following quantities and colours: 100 - Clear 200 - Green 300 - Purple 400 - Black
  5. It's not Season of Mist. It says RoadRunner on the back but has the date of when the album came out. It's unfortunate that it doesn't say 2013 as well. People will likely get confused thinking this is an original press if they don't know what to look for as far as differences (center label, insert, etc). I would presume this is self released by the band. I should also note, at the show they had copies for $20 that were limited to 500 and they also had copies that were limited to 100 and signed by Paul and Sean for $30. I opted for the $20 option since I didn't feel like running out of the venue to an ATM to pull out more $. I'm starting to kick myself on that choice but hopefully they have both options when they put them up on the site for sale.
  6. Single pocket sleeve w/ a printed insert. Nothing special but it's nice to finally have this gem of an album.
  7. I went to a flea market this weekend and got a haul of about 20 records for $1 each. Nothing amazing or special but I did pick up that live Bruce Springsteen collection 5 lp box set for $1. Also got a few Eagles and Peter Frampton albums that I didn't have. I've been getting a lot of good 70's classic rock $1 records lately at flea's that have jackets and lps in near mint/mint condition.
  8. I picked up a copy of this at one of the Death shows. It's pretty nice. Comes with a download card. I'll try to take a picture and post it this evening.
  9. http://www.indiemerch.com/valientthorr/item/19391 On Slime Green vinyl. Looks sweet and this band kills it every single time. Put down the hipster tunes and pick this up! Edit: Shipping on this is $7.49 for a single lp......I hate to say this since I'm the one that started the post but I'll likely hold off and try to find it for less when it comes out.
  10. I can't figure out how to post a photo. I know you need to do it using a link. Could someone enlighten me?
  11. I'm having a lot of trouble getting into this album. Hopefully it grows on me.
  12. You should probably just donate these records to your local thrift store and not worry about it. The world needs more first pressing Barry Manilow records floating around out there, which aren't 180 gram by the way
  13. GZA - Liquid Swords RSD Chess Set. This is the coolest single album box set ever. Very impressive. Howl - Bloodlines (red w/ black splatter) Iggy and the Stooges - Raw Power Willie Nelson - Countryman Albert King w/ Stevie Ray Vaughn - In Session Bob Marley and the Wailers - Soul Rebels
  14. Mine finally arrived today. The mailman forgot to put the key in my box and it showed delivered. After I realized his stoner error I ran upstairs with glee. I bought 3 copies praying to God I would get a pink. The first 2 copies were black.....the 3rd......the golden ticket!!!! I also got my clear copy today of Silverchair - Frogstomp since I subscribed to SRC. Looks so sweet, especially w/ the numbered band. Beyond delighted.
  15. Fat Wreck Chords is absolutely terrible. I still haven't gotten my Old Man Markley and Swingin' Utters records I ordered going on 4 months ago. I have e-mailed 20 + times and haven't gotten replacements even though they said they would send them out. I have to send the same e-mail at least 2 times before I even get a response. They clearly could give a shit. Must be nice. I'm going to shit on their store doorstep when I go out to San Francisco next month and include a thank you note.
  16. Zeppelin II, III, and IV. The covers are a bit worn but the vinyl is in fantastic shape. I'll pass them along to a friend who doesn't have them. Which Floyd and Zeppelin titles did you score out of that? Pink Floyd - Animals, Dark Side Of The Moon (2 copies, 1 of which is a German pressing), Ummagumma, and Dark Side of The Moon (2 Copies). The jackets on these are pretty nice and the vinyl is EX+. I never got into Pink Floyd that much so I'll keep them and pass the duplicates on. I think the best find in the lot are the 2 Mississippi John Hurt albums on Piedmont Recordings.
  17. I went to a local shop and stood in line at 9, they opened at 10. There were only a few people in front of me. They only had a few things that I wanted but they seemed to have a decent amount of stuff. Fortunately I have a friend that owns a record store and I made a list and he got most of what I wanted, the rest I was able to find online. Blind Melon Blind Melon + Sipping Time EP Deep Purple/Type-O Negative Side by Side: Highway Star Dio/Killswitch Engage Side by Side: Holy Diver Frank Zappa I'm The Slime/Montana 7" Misfits/The Lemonheads Side By Side: Skulls Old 97s and Waylon Jennings Old 97s/Waylon Jenings Porno for Pyros Porno for Pyros Soundtrack Dazed and Confused The Doors/X Side By Side: Soul Kitchen Willie Nelson "Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die" Cypress Hill Black Sunday (20th Anniversary Edition) GZA Liquid Swords Chess Box
  18. I bought 406 records from a lady off Craigslist today. It was a make an offer add and I offered $75. The collection is all 60's and 70's rock and blues. Stacked w/ Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, John Mayall, etc. Some of the covers show some wear but all the vinyl looks mint. Amazing collection that was her dads who recorded it all into digital and no longer wanted the albums. Nobody in her family wanted it, the crazy part is her brother told her to just throw it away. Unreal. Glad it fell into my hands. I'm beyond excited.
  19. For some of us (EST and CST) RSD is coming to a close. Those on the West Cosat have a few more hours to burn and buy before it's all over. That being said, now that RSD is over what releases are you most looking forward to? At the moment my response would include Gama Bomb, Howl, and ASG. I also contacted someone recently who had a collection of 60's and 70's records for sale. I offered them $75 and they accepted my offer. Apparently it's a total of 406 records and includes Jazz, Blues, and Rock. No classical, soundtracks, etc. I'm supposed to meet up with the seller tomorrow. It seems like a surreal gamble but I'm willing to take it. I've thrown away $75 on much less.
  20. Love Hank III. This proves there's a dumbass born every minute.
  21. Me too. A girl that checked out in front of me asked about it and the store I went to said they didn't see it. They had a strong 12" and 7" selection too. Bummed. That was high on my list.
  22. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, I've drank too much beer whilst listening to records to keep up, but I saw those Aerosmith records today. They looked like dog shit. Single pocket sleeve, possible insert. I could go to a record show and get those albums for $5 or less each. Lame. I really wanted to buy Toys In The Attic if it was packaged in a nice gatefold. Amazing album. But no. Money grabbers.
