Gumbo, real talk: you've got a few years on me... and as someone in his later 20s who spent a good chunk of 2015 and 2016 bending over backwards for a girl in her early 20s – while playing her mind games and waiting for her to grow up or decide what she wanted – you are 100% better off counting you losses and finding someone closer to your age.  I'm not saying that the age gap is impossible to work with, or that it's not worth it for some rare instances and individuals.  But there's a whole different wavelength that both genders typically operate on, once they hit their mid 20s.  The girl I've been seeing since July lives about 2 hours away, and I don't get to see her quite as often as I'd prefer, but even with travel and logistics I cannot emphasize how much more enjoyable, simplified, natural, and relieving it is to bond with someone who's only a few years younger than myself, vs. someone who lives 5 minutes away but has only been able to legally drink for a year or two.  It's night-and-day different – and probably harder to see with blinders on, with where you're at – but I cannot over-emphasize how much better off you'd be.

These honestly, are not worth tracking down. They are not bad, but nothing compared to the band's later output. I had both, and sold them last year. I might have some rips lying around if you want them.

Seattle was a blast but exhausting as all hell - seemed like I never really had a chance to relax, especially with switching hotels/visiting family and friends. I'm sorry I couldn't find time for coffee @BuzzersonKillwell and @tarzioo_  I know who I'll be hitting up when I eventually make the move, though!
 
On the positive side, Amazon has to have the nicest offices I've ever seen (with puppers galore!) and the interview process, while long and mentally challenging, was exhilarating in its own right. Hoping for the best!
 
p.s. The poutine at Highline is fantastic (a little garlicky if you're into that), and could easily be shared with 4+ people @jonrawks

My vacation is off to a strong start.  Watched a few movies, had dinner with a friend last night and today has mostly been beer, coffee and comics.

Just got home. Not appendicitis, they can't give me an exact reason for the pain. Said there is a small tear that could heal or turn into a hernia in the future, but they don't do anything unless it turns into a hernia. Doctor said it could be that or just left over inflammation from the stomach flu I had last week. IE they have no idea, and I'm probably a hypochondriac

Life is busy and won't slow down. I'm on day 15 of 16 days of work in a row. Then 6 more work days and I'm off for 12 straight. Got some tattoo time booked in Orlando then heading down to the dirty south to party it up. RIP my liver.
