All fair points. I think I'm just talking aloud. I actually have an interview tomorrow morning for a new position in my department that could be good. I think you're right, I just need to wait out the meds. Side effects are subsiding, except horrible nausea, stomach pain and my head feels weird. I have a 3 day weekend coming up, so hopefully that will help. Just need to make it through the next 2 days, and then Monday I go see my doctor to see what my next steps are.

Bert from Newmoon here. I found this thread and felt I need to explain some things. As of right now we are not affiliated with Mayfly Records anymore. After receiving messages of people not receiving pre-orders, them not honoring agreements, and a general radio silence to all of our questions, issues and remarks we will not be working with them any longer. We have not seen the US-pressing of this album for ourselves (and probaly never will). I am very sorry the quality is lacking. We try to do everything to the best of our abilities and hold everything at a very high standard. Having to read that the US-press is not the best it could be breaks my heart.

If you did not receive a pre-order or feel underwhelmed by the quality of the US-release, accept our apologies. Please do not order anything from Mayfly Records, including buying our music on any of their digital platforms. It saddens me to have to say this, but I don't want people to get fucked over any more than already has been the case.

We are talking to some people to see if we can make this album available in the US again in the very near future. It's been a long and tiring ordeal so far, but things are looking up.

You're not wrong! You can get a pair of Xiaomi Pistons. They sound amazing (sound like $100-200 Shures), are comfortable as hell, compact, flat cable so they're tangle free, and if you lose / break them you're only out $5. If you don't really *need* bluetooth (you sacrifice sound for no cord), get them. You won't regret it. I've recommend them to so many people, including a large handful on here, that all love them. I have had four different models of Xiaomis, and have loved them all. Spend less than $6ppd and you'll find out for yourself. (And yes they do come with various sized ear tips.) If you like these and want to move up the chain check out the Hybrids. They're a whopping $16. Haha.

And that's coming from a sound snob who has multiple pairs of headphones, has tried headphones at all styles and price points, listens to all kinds of music, but hey, that's just my opinion. These also pair really well with a portable amp if you're into that.

Album is no longer titled Doomin' and Gloomin', that album was essentially scrapped but John said we should hear some stuff from it at different points. No title yet, so he said to keep referring to it as such until they announce it.

I'm sure I bring it on myself, and then the disease kicks in and makes it worse. They do take awhile. It's the same meds I was on before, it's just been about 6 months and now the dosage is different.
 
Amazon seems like a cool place to work, as long as you're not in a warehouse. One day I will make it out there for sure, one day.

I got word today that I'm being considered for a position at Amazon, and have officially started the interview process. Fingers crossed! 

Welp, I got offered the job. I'm gonna take it, and I start the 13th of next month. Fuck. Yes. It'll feel good to work a full time job again.

I've successfully stayed away, not so much out of want, but out of necessity. 
Things that are new with me since last visiting a few years back:
- I got married
- I started an ongoing film series here in Buffalo called Cultivate Cinema Circle
- I am managing a makerspace and recording studio that are both free and open to the public at the Buffalo downtown library
- I am writing quite a lot of film criticism for a number of outlets and festivals
- I moved to a smaller, nicer apartment
- Thanks to my incoming tax return, I am doing some minor upgrades to my audio setup

I've always worn vans, and hope to never change it. Sometimes I will put inserts in them, and it helps. I just hate the look of every shoe that have support.
