when i went to visit my friends in CT, they took me to newbury in rhode island and my jaw dropped. bought all kinds of their vinyl. tons of first press and oop stuff too. i think most people were asleep. even got quintron picture LP. rulessss. definitely better stuff than hot topic.

i stopped at the hot topic near me today on the way home from work to check out how their vinyl selection has come along. most vinyl i've seen at a hot topic to date. still hate that damn floor level rack. i'm too tall and my ass hangs out when i bend/kneel down to check that shit. stupid! : oddly, they have tons of vinyl VC people rave about. have heart, against me, the carrier, OFF WITH THEIR HEADS. i was really shocked to see all the selection of stuff they have that VC offers and carries with pride. impressed. the girl asked if she could help me find something in particular, obviously their staff knows jack about vinyl. almost picked up that evergreen terrace barf colored vinyl for $5. the less people know about vinyl, the more chance i'm going to find something cool in there eventually. i was hoping to get the new deicide picture LP on clearance but they didn't even have it. aww

want.....this....damn vinyl. can't get enough.

The box set says nothing about vinyl, are we positive it's the same thing? I have a hard time believing it could be available for $60. (yes I realize the set was delayed. It just seems weird that Best Buy has that item for so cheap) list price was still $90. best buy might as well own a share of solid state/tooth and nail. they always have sales of their artists and they're all over the ads and endcaps. it doesn't surprise me that best buy would have the best sale price. album is decent but the last 2 songs kinda killed it for me. still on the fence.

the store here had a stack of them for $20 a pop. they had the entire disco, except maybe in rainbows. but this was a week ago the clerk claimed they've been flying off the shelves and wouldn't last long.

It's St Paul, actually. A lot of people in the media have made that mistake, and St Paul residents seem to take a lot of offense at it. My roommate tried to go see this (I had class), and there were all sorts of police barricades and shit. Matisyahu also played earlier in the day, which was apparently also awesome. take back labor day was disappointing. we were all hoping RATM would be the guests but it was iraqi war veterans against the war that joined tom morello onstage at the end of his set during a woody guthrie cover. bummer. atmosphere were boring, mos def played 20-25 minutes! the pharcyde kicked it old school but didn't really do anything revolutionary. the coup KILLED it tues night in downtown st. paul though. RNC finally brought some them back to town! my friend saw RATM tonight in downtown minneapolis, said they were totally on point and sounded great. no preaching, just rocked it. now i kinda wish i had dropped the $60 to see them.

snot? as in the band from the late 90's early 2000's snot whos singer died in a car accident? also, while i never got to see a ton of my favorite bands, i did catch far opening for the deftones ones....great fucking times. yes, new singer. i was surprised too but i kinda am interested in seeing it. i saw far once but i didn't know them at the time. sucks. never came back. i wish i was a little rich right now. maybe if i hadn't spent all my money at VC i'd be able to make it happen

i think it all just adds to them filling a stage or making a visual impact. i don't know. touring with disturbed really makes me not want to follow slipknot anymore. it was bad enough seeing them together in 2001. how can anyone really LIKE disturbed? it's so wrong.

first album, eh. s/t on roadrunner was the 2nd. i kinda got bored after iowa, kept wanting to see them again. bought tickets and didn't go, or sold them for next to nothing. still kinda curious to hear the new album but then again, stone sour really watered them down for me. i think the kicker was the censored PEOPLE=SHIT shirts after their first major cd came out. thank you, hot topic! i'm missing my slipknot vinyl (12" of the RR s/t on slime green vinyl!!), i ended up with 2 copies thanks to amazon back in the day. sold one for sure, must have sold the 2nd in a string of ebay "i'm broke" bummers. oh well. it's not really that missed, just thought i still had the 2nd copy. saw it in a store recently and checked the tracklist. missing the 2 songs from the original release of the album. boooo. anything is still better than ICP. god awful.
