You know what I just realized? I was listening to these Run, Forever songs earlier today (I agree, they're fantastic) and I pulled out my light blue marble first press copy of Settling because I forgot how much I loved that album and so I go to put it on my turntable and I'm like "This thing definitely weighs more than my other color records." And so I pull out my scale, and, sure enough, it's an 173g piece of vinyl, which I thought was pretty entertaining, because my other Tiny Engines releases were like that, too. It's almost as if TE wants to make a heavyweight vinyl without going to the trouble of calling it 180g. They just want it 5-10g lighter.

Not gonna lie, I'm upset at myself for not checking out Scraps of Tape and/or The Life & Times before I placed my order and they sold out. Those would've been nice to have.

Not the biggest fan, but "The Hollowed Out Chest of a Dead Horse" is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

One more thing: I don't think there's an Off Minor/Raein split 7". You had me all excited, though; that would be so intense if it were real.

I too have a distaste for white vinyl - not only does it always seem to sound a little off, but it's visually very unappealing. That being said, I love it when the label's do something crazy to make the vinyl color the EXACT color scheme of the album artwork. (i.e. the Pure Noise's of the world) That, and, 180g black vinyl. Gotta love it. I also have very high hopes for the Opaque Lavender vinyl I have coming in for the Hotelier from Tiny Engines. I figure it'll be one of the cooler colors of vinyl I own. Here's to hoping.
