...and say they're already working on reissuing Going Places and Being There on LP and 2xLP respectively:

per the descriptions of recent Bandcamp uploads of those two albums, looks like they're doing it via Boomkat. so they're definitely doing it with some luv n care

I asked a couple friends who are big Emery fans about their thoughts on a re-recorded version of this album and they both said they loved the album but the guitar tones on the original version were terrible, and we're looking forward to hearing an updated version with better tones.

oh that's interesting. i for one specifically loved the guitar tones on the OG recording. went back and relistened yesterday, and honestly Party Song is just a wild trip of really unique guitar ideas and tones. very curious to hear the new version now.

I'm just obsessed with box sets, and wouldn't mind them all in a nice, neat package. No real nostalgic ties, I like the albums and picked them up for $8 & $10 each about 12 years ago.

you could buy the boxset and sell off the reissues individually maybe and recoup. house your original pressings in the box :P unless that defeats the purpose of the boxset for you i guess...

Does anyone have archived links or screenshots of what the stuff on FB looked like?
Going to be clenching hard between now ant tommorow afternoon. :D :'D

you can see a fair bit of it if you scroll up to @Terminator_Ham's recent post. all 3 LPs with original CD artwork, black vinyl (billed as "translucent" but i swear those guys confuse that word with opaque). slipmat, boxset, and i guess some apparel too.

Disambiguation wasn’t terrible, I should clarify.  It never really gelled with me in the way those other 3 did, but it wasn’t offensive.  I think I was really starting to explore other bands and genres around that time, and just never really put in the time with it.  I can’t knock it too hard, I just know that if it were added to this box and bumped it to $100, I would have no tiny voice whispering in my ear that I may want to scoop this up for muh nostalgia.

Does anyone know if this comes housed in an actual box?

^^seems to be a box depicted there at the bottom, solid black with the same motif as the slipmat. usually a boxset represents a discount for buying everything at once but it's an extra $10? if so, hope it's more kickass a box than it looks lol.

...That’s not to shit on this release by any means.  Just a little doubt that the variant is even possible, for anyone curious.

TOCS is 100% nostalgia for me but the brand of screamo just hasn’t aged all that well in my books, and I don’t know how often I’d actually spin it.  I think DTGL and LITSOS both did some really cool things at the time, too.  But, man... that box seems tailor-made for me.  As far as I’m concerned, these 3 albums were peak Underoath, and easily received the most playtime when this band was at their height of interest for my teen / early 20s tastes.

yeah had the same thought. it's probably just a standard black 180g, especially if the mockups are any indication. a bit surprised we aren't seeing some colorways given how ubiquitous they are in the vinyl game for bands in and around this scene.

also had the same thoughts on Underoath more or less. my favorite era. love the hooks of TOCS, and the innovation of the next two (esp LITSOS) were huge for me growing up. still return to LITSOS a good amount. peerless drumming. i have also come to really appreciate Disambiguation in retrospect.

The Cinnamon Red doesn't sound great, as was my experience with their Rainbow Pale Horses.
I'm rolling the dice with the Orange this time, but I probably should have just gone with the black for better sound quality.

yeah the red and orange both are kinda ass. one discogs commentor says they got a replacement red that plays thru fine, so my desparate ass ordered one just in case.... not counting on a miracle but it'd b nice

  8. Nightmare experience with Music Direct

Ordered a record, arrived with an 8" gash across the back of the jacket. Returned it with the assurance that the title was on backorder, but had to bug them for an update on the backordered record after two weeks of radio silence. Turns out, OOP. Shocker. Then tried to work out an exchange but they couldn't figure out the billing for the difference. Was told they'd refund me instead. Ok, cool. Received the refund, but it was only a partial refund... despite them being at fault for a defective item. Lesson learned, should've just filed a PayPal claim a month and a half ago lol.

Really? Because the Sunday’s Best records from TSR is totally fine.

i do believe the Sunday's Best layout was done by an American, whereas this one was done by a German.

in any case, yes, it is unfortunately the convention. bugs me immensely haha. shot from my bookshelf attached. not every single German publication ever is "upside down," some publishers or editions like to buck convention, but it's definitely the norm.

all my german records are the same way too, there's not a wide enough stack of them for a proper photo though...
