Once when I was travelling I bid on a copy of '2 New Songs of Mount Eerie' before I left my friend's apartment (unable to bid at the final minute due to a lack of wifi) and was delighted to return and find that I'd won the copy for $8. Furthermore it was the original pressing in a hand painted sleeve by Phil Elverum!

I strangely dig this quite a bit. The instrumentation is so warm and soothing compared to the originals and the cheesy vocal effects come across pretty nicely at some points (I Say "No" in particular). Having said that, I'm a huge Phil fanatic and could just be convincing myself otherwise in order to keep my collection complete.

Ty Segall Band - Live at Death By Audio via ITR
spoon replied to mcpherson123's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I just can't catch a break this week, so many records I hadn't planned for burning a hole in my wallet. -
"The inaugural release of our Live in San Francisco series! White Fence burned down the tiny SF club Amnesia two nights in a row and we were there with a Tascam 388 to capture the magic. A totally different side of the band compared to their studio records and not to be missed. Engineered by Chris Woodhouse, Eric Bauer, Bob Marshall, and our own John Dwyer, adorned with photos shot to real film by Brian Pritchard, and the limited ultra clear vinyl includes an alternate, lenticular cover, which creates magical movement through print-wizardry. PLEASE NOTE - Lenticular copies will ship Nov. 12th." Available at http://www.castlefacerecords.com/products/white-fence-live-in-san-francisco

Wow, this was the last thing I expected to see up for order today. Grabbed myself a copy.
-
I think I recall Permanent Records saying they had the last of the ltd copies? I could be wrong though.
-
I picked up these 7"s too (#109 for my Endless Bummer). Great records and great label.
-
Great news. I was hoping that Tame Impala would've had some copies at their headline show the night after they played the Greek but no dice.
-
Ty and Chad said the same thing a few times last night. Seriously such a great show. They had the last of the deluxe copies (apparently) available at the merch table and a couple of different shirts. I bought a black shirt and was fortunate enough to run into Ty and Charlie by the exit and have the inside of my deluxe gatefold signed.

Excited for the hometown show tonight. In The Red is also based out of LA so maybe they'll replenish the merch table.

Oh well, I'm still psyched to see them on the last show of the tour and will happily pick up a shirt. I'm from Sydney originally so it's a miracle I'm even seeing the band.

It's a long shot but I really hope they have the trouble in mind comp on Friday. They've been going for $60+ on eBay and discogs.

Finally picked up my In The Red package from my girlfriend's house. The deluxe looks killer and I'm psyched to have gotten a blue 7".

Hopefully there isn't a problem with the whole pressing, that looks amazing otherwise! My order will have probably reached my girlfriend's parents' house but I'm not touching down in LA until Wednesday so either way, hope it arrives by then. I assumed there was a black pressing judging by the way they removed the 'limited blue and clear available' from the description in their store but I guess we won't know for sure until someone buys a retail copy. Also for those in LA still shooting for a deluxe edition, Permanent Records are having a midnight sale for Fuzz and just by attending you'll go into a raffle for a copy. They're also giving out a few signed posters with purchases of the standard edition it seems: https://www.facebook.com/events/450555511729843/

This may be a long shot but if anyone is attending Liverpool Psych Fest this weekend there is a Trouble In Mind compilation only available at the festival (and with the bands on tour) that I'd love to get my hands on. I will of course gladly cover all costs involved with purchasing and mailing the LP.
-
Ah, true. Although I think the pressing number for the clear was given through an email (unless I missed something they said or posted originally?) as opposed to being listed on the site as 'x amount of copies available' which seemed to be the cause of the confusion over the deluxe pressing. Either way it's great to see that there's something special available for those heading along to see the band live. Hopefully they stagger the amount they sell each night so there's still something by the time they play their hometown show in LA which I'll be attending. I'd love to grab that Trouble In Mind compilation for Liverpool psych fest which apparently the bands will have copies of on tour but I'm not optimistic about it lasting until their last date of the tour.

I believe they held aside half of the initial deluxe pressing for the tour. They probably did something similar with the clear.

not my copy but it looks like the clear is being sold on tour from what i've seen online

I don't think so, the closest I've seen is this unofficial facebook page. Judging by Ty's own website, twitter and Facebook page I'd say he's just not very active when it comes to the internet.

Leather sleeved 7" that was likely sent out to friends of the band and label. (posted by Easy Rider Records who said it wasn't for sale)

In The Red posted that there'll be a record release show this Friday: anyone going? I assume they'd have the album for sale.
