  1. I miss the days of ordering an LP from the U.S. and having it cost less with postage paid than Australian retail prices. I still order the majority of my records online because the price works out to be about the same (~$30 for a single LP unfortunately) and most times the album I want won't show up in stores until a while after the release date.
  2. I would say because everyone else seems to have payments "processing" and anything that is cancelled has been directly refunded back into accounts. Paypal doesn't really give you that information or any idea of whether your order is going ahead or not. In my experience their refunds can take a long time to clear as well.
  3. Likewise. Paypal refunds are always a pain too so here's hoping everything ships.
  4. Incredible show last night! I arrived early and heard the band soundchecking so I found a quiet space in the shade by the back of the venue and experienced an awesome personal set in a strange suburban alleyway. After that the band members came out one by one and stopped to speak to me and were incredibly kind and appreciative (maybe because I was the only one around and wasn't likely to mob them) and took the time to have a conversation and sign my record. Scott never came out but lo and behold, some twist of fate found him standing right by me after we'd been told to leave the venue and he too was a rad and down to earth guy. I mentioned to Jeff that my girlfriend couldn't make it to the show and he drew this amazing picture: The Setlist was as follows: The King of Carrot Flowers, Part One The King of Carrot Flowers, Parts Two & Three Holland, 1945 A Baby for Pree Gardenhead / Leave Me Alone Everything Is Two-Headed Boy The Fool In the Aeroplane Over the Sea Ferris Wheel on Fire Naomi Oh Comely Song Against Sex Ruby Bulbs Snow Song, Part One Encore: Ghost [untitled] Two-Headed Boy, Part Two Engine The highlights for me were the real singalong songs (Two Headed Boy in particular) and I was blown away by the full band version of Ferris Wheel On Fire. Hopefully I'll have a chance to catch them again some day, such an unbelievable experience.
  5. Neutral Milk Hotel played in Sydney last night and I decided to head down to the venue early to check out the area. Turns out I arrived just as they were soundchecking, so I found a spot in the shade and listened from outside the back of the venue. It was great to hear them run through a few songs in this weird suburban alley and then they came out individually afterwards and stopped to speak to me and sign my copy of Aeroplane (which I'd brought along hoping to get signed AFTER the show) which was unbelievable.
  6. Might be back in CA for this. I was fortunate enough to catch the Palladium show in LA and the new stuff sounds even better live.
  7. I'm in Australia so the phone call could use up my potential cancellation funds. I'll shoot them an email in the morning though, thanks for the heads up.
  8. Did she give you that number as the cut off for those albums or is that just your order number? I ordered 4/5 of the ones you listed and come in at 537252.
  9. Fingers crossed the ones I really want don't get cancelled, as much as I'll enjoy a few of the other releases I probably wouldn't have bought them right now if it weren't for the fact that it was saving me money on shipping.
  10. Looks to be unavailable now. I'm guessing a pressing of about 500 if 250 were sent to the UK.
  11. I know it's Walt and Jesse in the middle of a cook, but I still feel like the image isn't as striking or iconic as it could have been for a picture disc. Still, I may be up for this depending on the final cost and tracklist.
  12. Knowing Castle Face I'm sure they'll have something special up their sleeve for this release.
  13. Ended up splurging on: Atlas Sound - Parallax Kurt Vile - God Is Saying This To You Lowell Brams (feat. Sufjan Stevens & Bryce Dessner) - Music For Insomnia Akron / Family - ST/II: The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT Department of Eagles - In Ear Park Real Estate - Out of Tune 7"
  14. At $8.60 I might have to pick up "The Master's Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In" by Thee Oh Sees for my girlfriend. Hard to argue with a price like that.
  15. The post automatically abbreviated the URL which might have been the problem if you were copying and pasting. I just embedded the url into the text so it should be fine now. As for the tracklist it's hard to say what I'd love to hear most. HazeMaze and Loose Sutures were incredible live and would receive no complaints from myself if they make the cut.
  16. I have a feeling it'll go up with the new Oh Sees singles collection. It'd be nice to pre-order the two ahead of their release date though, the new White Fence was strangely punctual.
  17. Castle Face posted the album art in the last newsletter, I'll upload it when I get home if no one else does before then. I'll be holding out to purchase direct from them.
  18. Hopefully briefly talking to Ty after a Fuzz show will guarantee one of those mystery drop-offs.
  19. The band was scheduled to play Harvest Festival here in Australia so I bought an expensive ticket just to see them. Through some stroke of luck the festival went under/was cancelled, I got a refund, the band rescheduled solo shows and now I'm seeing them at a smaller venue for a cheaper price this Thursday!
  20. Dude says it's 'kinda like a bootleg' and that it's not out yet but it's coming.
  21. Also the hashtag #fanclubrecord was used by Easyrider and makes me wonder if this might be part of some new subscription series, just a guess though.
  22. There's a song available to stream on the Castle Face soundcloud too, "You Won't See Me". Only 3 minutes though so the remaining songs must be supreme jams.
  23. This is so confusing frustrating. Pirates Press posted it to their blog and claimed that it would be released on In The Red (seems like they would be privy to that information assuming they were the ones pressing the LP), however both Igor and Easyrider are denying In The Red's involvement. The fact that it was dropped off at Easyrider in an unmarked box leads me to believe that an LA based label is behind this though it's a complete mystery as to when and where we'll see copies, especially if there are only 200 pressed.
  24. Easyrider are saying that they don't know where it came from but will keep people posted. They also said on Facebook that they heard there are only 200 copies.
