  1. A few months ago I tried to listen to The Tryptich cause it was the only DH album I actually bought and I thought "hey, I think I remember it was a solid album if you were in the mood for that." I ended up skipping through 80% of the album cause I thought I remembered there was a really great song in there somewhere. There wasn't. Also the thing that pisses me off about the bundles is that they can afford to sell them for that fucking price to begin with.
  2. Ah man, I would have definitely picked that up had it been just the olive splatter. Would've gone great with Dealer. Not digging the split.
  3. Yeah, but The Fiancee has always bothered me with just how harsh a lot of it sounds. I know that's part of the aesthetic on their earlier albums, but I've always thought songs like The Deaf Policeman deserve a better sounding mastering.
  4. So I finally got around to grabbing this, and it turns out the real reason it's a 2xLP is that it's 45 RPM. Pleasant surprise. Actually sounds really smooth and fantastic, was not expecting it to be as great of a pressing as it is. Only downside is the jacket isn't a gatefold, which always kind of annoys me with doubles, especially when they're priced like this one. But whatever, still a great sounding pressing that I'll be enjoying every December.
  5. Sound quality is underwhelming. The remaster didn't exactly accomplish what I had hoped for. It's a different listening experience, but I was hoping for a little more hi-fi feel. Bassline on Heard This Noise is pretty killer, though.
  6. Just got mine in. No insert, but sleeve is polylined. If they really wanted to wow us with the packaging, the back cover would have made a hell of a gold foil.
  7. Trying really hard to keep myself from listening to the stream even though I know I won't get to spin the record for another week and a half at least.
  8. Equally half-baked theory: The Question, When Everything Falls, O God the Aftermath, Come Now Sleep, The Fiancee = Sophomore Albums Also a sophomore album? Son of the Morning.
  9. I was thinking their wording was fairly obvious that it's going to be announced on the day, not some sort of a mystery order stunt. Also my Chariot order shipped and I need you all to know that.
  10. I could almost see a second pressing Black Friday surprise pre-sale, but SS doesn't seem to like selling until they're on hand, so I doubt we'll see another press go up until January or February.
  11. Half-baked theory time: The Question, When Everything Falls, O God the Aftermath = 2005 Come Now Sleep, The Fiancee = 2007 Also 2007? When I Am God.
  12. Yes, Solid State said it would be coming in "a few weeks" and would be green.
  13. August Burns Red "Sleddin' Hill" Just in time for the season. Should be 2 downloads remaining.
  14. Got one, big thanks to GhostTrail! Now I don't feel so bad about $10 shipping. Also, just got my own 10% off code in the receipt, so if anyone wants it, feel free to PM me for it. Taken
  15. I think I'm going to order, does anyone who's passing on this have a 10% code they'd care to share with me via PM? Would be much appreciated, I'm looking at an absurd total for 2 records.
  16. Stoked that this will be remastered, maybe this means someone's actually putting care into this release? Can't decide if I should suck it up and order from their awful merch store now or cross my fingers for some going out to Amazon like HTD did. Then again, this would be a good time to finally pick up ABR's Christmas LP...
  17. I was 12 in 2004, which was possibly the greatest year for music in my lifetime, so I had been fairly into music (for a kid) at that point, but then I was suddenly surrounded by an insane amount of terrific music and I soaked up as much as I could.
  18. I know they get a lot of shit on the internet, but Devil & God is so full of powerful moments for me.
  19. Okay, here we go. This is going to be the first time that I will publicly admit that UnderOATH is no longer on my top 10 list. I always feel obliged to put them on out of respect and because they were super influential to me in my younger days, but the truth is I rarely give any of their albums a listen since my taste has evolved. Anyway, here's my best shot. Say Anything / ...Is A Real Boy mewithoutYou / Brother, Sister (I can never decide between this and CFUTF, but I feel like Sweater Poorly Knit has to be the tie-breaker; can't live without that song) As Cities Burn / Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest Brand New / The Devil & God Are Raging Inside Me Interpol / Our Love to Admire Norma Jean / Meridional Emery / The Question The Dangerous Summer / Reach for the Sun Typhoon / White Lighter Childish Gambino / Camp The Chariot / One Wing
  20. Interesting choice from the Emery spectrum. Just curious, do you have a personal connection to it or something? Don't get me wrong, it's a solid album, I've just never heard of it being any Emery fan's favorite.
  21. This sounds like a new British insult that no one quite knows what it means. "Ah spot off, yeh mollywagga!"
  22. White would work a lot better with a green label. If I pick this up at all I'll stick with retail green.
