Yes, IMO it does need a separate thread.
Being a Junkie XL fan and/or Mad Max fan has little in common with OSTs from animated films like Box Trolls and Iron Giant or random old obscure OSTs like Black Sunday. I'm not sure why someone would be expected to follow an entire Mondo thread in the off chance that they may have a single release they might enjoy someday.
I like single band/artist threads but don't have the time to follow every thread for labels and genres that may have a release I'm interested in.
I purchased the It Follows OST but do I need to read 20 posts over how excited people are that Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and a multitude of other releases I have zero interest in finally got pressed? No.

You may have received a similar email from us recently, but we've been getting many emails over the last week asking about the status of the replacement LPs, so we wanted to make sure you were updated here and now.
  Unfortunately for us, and due at least in part to the demands of Record Store Day, the plant pressing the vinyl for Father John Misty’s I Love You, Honeybear album has been unbelievably busy the past 2 months, and we’ve had to wait our turn in line to get our replacement tri-color LPs made. We were originally told we’d have these replacement LPs in our hands sometime in the middle of March, and that obviously didn't happen. Finally, this week we received word from the pressing plant that they're going to have these on the presses in the coming week. And they've told us we can let our customers know that we’ll be able to start shipping replacements from Sub Pop right around the first of May. The art is perfect, the music and packaging are unique and unprecedented.  The 10th anniversary is coming in two years and Justin and Danny (and Brent) know how important this album was to their trajectory as art-rock stalwarts, why not keep the rights for a massive re-release that they curate themselves (beyond the obvious hurdles that would entail)?  This album meant so much to me when it came out, it feels like VMP is just cashing in with little to add to its preceding press besides hipster alignment and an excellent marketing opportunity. The VMP issue is again a really nice package, but I can't help but think this album is worth more than a straight forward reissue.
 
The band is so creative and I felt this release should have reflected that.  But I digress, mediocre was a bit harsh.  
 
And I'm glad a new generation of fans get a chance to own it at last.

iTunes​ has showcased "Whatever Nevermind" in the Metal section of their store, with a bigass banner, New Music spotlight on the album and selected Torche​'s song as a Hot Track.
 
Although it's certainly not our main objective, it's still pretty cool to get a bit of recognition from one of the biggest companies on the planet. Big ups!

and no i'm not trying to shame anyone! not even jon. just stating my opinion. which i feel is on point. totally cool if you disagree though. sorry it was too long. i'm a decent writer and a fast typer it didn't take more than 5 minutes or so to write. post as much as you want, i don't care, i'm just saying that was hardly an essay. that was like a page and a half of a book. if you actually read it would take maybe 3 min to get through it? 
 
btw i've posted on this forum for a long time, at LEAST since '09, and had accounts before, just not in the thousands of posts. i don't post much. when i do i try to make it quality instead of honey boo boo memes. my bad, let's all go back to the scheduled programming.

I agree with Vic, there's got to be another plate-free release coming down the line, there's no way they would hold out to 900 on the demand for this record.

I was super disappointed that they didn't have the LP for sale at the show last weekend.  I guess I missed something along the way cause last I read they were ready to go for the tour.  
 
The merch girl was goddamn clueless too, I pointed out that they forgot to include Toronto on the tour poster and she's like "O.M.G. I, like, didn't even notice LOLLLLLL"
 
At least the show was bananas.

I think the label mix ups before Antemasque coming out had a lot to do with the lack of recent ORL vinyl releases.  I believe they started Nadie to get away from the now corporate controlled RLP moniker (which had all the monies to release all those records the past 7 years).  
 
That and the fact that O + C are friends again and reigniting their love of playing live together means he's distracted again.  I read that Bosnian Rainbows LP2 would come out after the Antemasque LP1 run, then Antemasque LP2 would come after BRLP2, but by then we all know Omar will find something else to distract us with, like....
 
Omar said the other day on Triple J that they haven't given up hope on resuscitating the Volta for more releases down the line.  This would also likely mean that Jon Theodore would return on drums considering Cedric has professed his regret for ever firing him and his admiration of Jon's contribution to the true Volta sound.  I don't care about legacy, they ruined that with Noctourniquet...I want this.

I'm new here to VC, I otherwise would have posted this a while ago before others paid far too much.  The Amoeba link has been sold out for some time and I'm pretty sure this is the only place left to grab this.  Anywhere.
 
This is an incredible BPB record.

Pretty sure this is on the mark.  If not Ipecac then a label equally worthy.
 
I found the early single mixes were superior to the finals, at least on "People Forget".  It even seems that Cedric re-recorded many of the vocal parts.  Annnd they've clearly got a lack in funds on this project so a deal will most certainly need to be made before any physical stuff comes at us.
 
And how about some speculation??  Anyone else notice a big gap in Juan's Deltron schedule?  They've just played their last show until November meaning Juan is free and clear for Antemasque's August jaunt.  I mean he's basically the only piece left of the puzzle.
 
Also, those shows next month are going to rip.
