Prolific NYC birthed band Le Rug are set to release their new collection of unreleased tracks (70+ songs), Game Over, on cassette/digi formats on November 20th via Fleeting Youth Records. The first song is the all-to-infectious pop burner, "Bomb".

As a follow up to his touted introductory collection, Press Start, and his brooding one-man-band record, Swelling (My Own Worst Anime), Ray Weiss brings us Game Over; an all-to-infectious stockpile of some of Weiss and company's strongest pop material (including an album produced by John DeNicola, Academy Award winning songwriter known for his songs "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" and "Hungry Eyes" from Dirty Dancing), mixed with basement bangers, experimental freak outs, and a 44-song album with a short song dedicated to each US President. 4 albums + a slew of unreleased loosies, all unheard and ready to be adored by post-punk fans around the world.

I got one of the tapes from the first run of swung from the branches off discogs for $11! and it looks and sounds awesome. I love the vinyl press of it but for some reason it sounds so much more appropriate through the little speaker of my Walkman.

someone jump on these before I buy variants of things I already have. I'm drooling over that angeltown I reissue.

I hope it's okay to share a bit of the album I'm about to release in a month - I feel like it's pretty relevant to the OT sound - bedroom indie folk pop. One of the tracks, Toothpaste, was written and recorded with a lot of influence from Foxes In Fiction's Ontario Gothic. Check it out if you're interested. Good call man. Collecting is fun and I know we're on a vinyl board but everyone needs to know when to give it a break for a bit, myself included. A hobby isn't worth it. Something you want will always pop up online later, even if it is a bit more expensive. Stay safe n keep on spinnin guys xx

I'm gonna set you straight man because I wish someone had done it for me, but heavy spending will destroy you man. Try selling off some old shit you have laying around. I'm coming from a place with love and only because I've been there myself. You gotta set those priorities high otherwise you'll be trending the same patterns well into your 30s. I definitely need to hear these words haha thanks for the looking out. I'm only four years younger than you so I probably need to get my collecting in check sooner than later but it's difficult lol. This month just was crazy with all the distro popping up on top of new releases--plus i had to put a little bit of personal coin towards the new dandelion hands release. there's so few things bring that joy tho and life is an endless swallowing abyss so        but you're right!!!

Its cool! it is it's own little world I don't mean that in a romanticizing way I mean it does have it's own dichotomy. There are things I love and hate about it but I feel like that's how all big cities are but because there are a million people on this island it's amplified to 10X. Also money. I'm always broke here.

Obviously if Cobb doesn't suit up, it's a different story. But otherwise, you don't bench your 2nd or 3rd round pick in week 3.
