I had lined up to press this in Australia (3 colour screen printed covers on chipboard sleeves and an awesome 2 sided insert) and then Tangled Talk did this, and I couldn't compete with the price. Even with Postage to Australia, the TT version was cheaper than I could sell it for...

I find GZ produced splatters to be exceptionally noisy. Sometimes they look cool. Sometimes the look like diarrhea.

Tour Exclusives:
It's funny, you guys think about tour exclusives before the band themselves has put in any thought into that sort of thing.
It's not even on our radar yet.
Packaging:
The Gatefold jacket w/ silver foil is a VERY expensive project to create. And yes, all physical formats will include silver foil as it enhances the impact of the cover artwork and goes with our visual "concept" of sorts.
2XLP:
We tried a number of different sequences for the album to make it work from a listenability standpoint and a regular LP wouldn't work. Related, we are also adamant about sound quality, going as far as to create three different mastering jobs for the three formats we are offering for the release, and each of them tweaked for optimum quality for the format. With that said, the biggest killer of audio on vinyl is groove width and compression generally. Presenting the album as two 45 RPM LPs is/was the best way to resolve that issue. Hell, we've already rejected one set of lacquers for the release already (please, don't PM me trying to purchase them). We want this album to be 100%.

I have had both experinces with SRC.
80% of my orders are as I would like. I have had one in particular that has not shipped and was placed Feb 9th 2012. Some of the items were out of stock, and I emailed, got a response, changed the order and then got the impression that it was to be shipped that week.I emailed afterwards for follow up and got no response. Emailed again 4 weeks after, and again, no response. I have since bought all of the records elsehwere, and just want the order cancelled and refunded, but that email was also ignored.
I am not usually one to actually get involved in threads like this, but I am super bummed that they have had $130 of my money (including $50+ in postage...) since the 9th Feb, and I have no records...
