I am in love with everything about this release! I know this will easily be one of favorite records for years to come. Never heard of the band Ours before but that dude's voice blew me away.

I think that the acoustic fazer, KD- good man, Anthony Raneri death cab cover, Matt pryor's cover of Reggie & Vinnie's cover of old 97's question are my favorite tracks
 
I love that fazer is the last track and we kept the Dubin banter the end the album, perfect way to close out such an epic compilation!

They're a great band full of honest, hard-working and talented guys who have been consistently putting out strong records and touring their asses off since they started. I understand if it's not your style but any time I hear people bashing this band it just confuses me. Don't let crappy fans or stuff you read on the internet stop you from giving the music a good chance.
 
But regardless, love both Circa Survive and SDRE and I could not be more excited for this!

Can I ask why all the Circa hate? Juturna, OLG, AND BSN were all good albums. They may not be a fitting choice for the split, but they aren't horrible.

I have to ask, did anyone else get one of these from the most recent run and it showed up ruined?
 
My copy has what looks a layer of hardened plastic goo melted into the grooves on both the A and B side. There's no way this could have happened during shipping. It's very similar to the issues that many people (myself included) had with Glassjaw's Worship and Tribute where there was severe outgassing due to the plastic used in the packaging being in direct contact w/ the record.
 
If it's like the Glassjaw album I know there is no way to fix it. I understand Matt stated these albums are being sold "as is" and aren't in perfect shape but he did say that each record was inspected. How could this go unchecked? I spent my money to support the guy and to have a great album to listen to. Not to have a worthless piece of plastic. It's so bad my needle can't go past the first three seconds of the album and no I do not have a Crosley.
 
Sorry if I sound a little peeved but I am. I'm going to go ahead and email Earth Analog and hopefully be able to work something out but I wanted to see if I was alone in this.

Very true, when I first got into collecting vinyl I only bought albums that were amazing, or albums that I liked every song off of.  I don't do it that way anymore.  In my opinion an album is meant to be listened to from start to finish and to me that is music.  Everything I buy I listen to over and over because I appreciate music that much.

I know copies of this are getting harder to come by but for anyone on the fence about this I will say that I recommend this boot.
 
I've listened to a copy of the original before and I've got to say that this sounds better all throughout. Only issues with my copy are some persistent surface pops on the A side (only noticeable during the interludes) and the sound at the end of side D seemed a bit squashed. Side C had some scuffs from shipping but it actually seemed to be the most quiet side. The source is definitely digital but regardless whoever handled this put some TLC into it all. That being said, the sound doesn't seem as dynamic as I'd like it to be but it's certainly satisfactory.  
 
Until we get a proper reissue that isn't on a weird picture disc or MOV/MoFi presses this (a man can dream!) this is the best we've got.

I just read through the comments on the Facebook announcement, and I really wish I hadn't done that.
 
My favorite comment that I kept seeing over and over was "Well, there goes the rarity of my box set." Like, shut the fuck up. If you're gonna buy a box set of records just because they're rare and you're never actually going to listen to them, then what's the point in even buying them? So you can post a cute little arranged picture on your social media accounts and then try to sell it on eBay for $200+? So many DGD fans are greedy, ungrateful little assholes.
 
Anyways, to keep my post on-topic, I think the only one of the albums I'd consider owning more than one copy of is Happiness, because it's my fave. Possibly Acceptance Speech, if they can make a variant better suited to the album cover. Which would be pretty hard to do, honestly.

Oh man. $500 for iks is competitive. Ooookay.

When I bought one last year it came warped as shit but they replaced it with quickness. Fair warning, the audio quality on this is not good. Clearly sourced from a CD.... The songs don't flow in to each other which is annoying

I'd be too happy to see them press both Tides albums also. I'm a giant Tilian fan, and a giant Kurt fan also. ALLB just pressed No Place, and Cory said they're trying to get Conversation Piece pressed also. 

Yeah, house of leaves was on the OP as well. Sounds amazing! I always hated CDs that had the huge gap of silence for the hidden tracks
