  1. i can't fucking stand brent musburger. every person he talks about is a "young man." maybe it's because you're 90, brent. or maybe, just maybe, it's because they're college fucking football players. it's like the game is being played on mars and brent is calling the game off the delayed feed. he describes things 3 seconds after they've happened. also, stop fucking calling him "honey badger" every time. once or twice it's cute. but it's not his name. jesus christ i can't believe i don't have a job in broadcasting and this old coot still does.
  2. you know, i couldn't put my finger on it, but now that you mention it....
  3. 1. ugh, i had the worst day today... 2. ... why? 1. this girl at work... 2. what happened? 1. she did something really rude to me... 2. what did she do? either tell me what the fuck you want to tell me, or leave me alone. but don't coax me into feigning interest in your bullshit.
  4. 2 and a half days left on this bad boy... let's see if we can get them up to $2,000 before it's over? if you've already donated, thank you again so much. if you haven't yet, please take a minute and just check out some of their music on their bandcamp for free. if you're into it, maybe you can spare a dollar or two or ten... http://anaestheticanaesthetic.bandcamp.com/
  5. you've got a lot of great stuff. any references/eBay username/etc. so we can know this is legit? hate to seem like a dick, but there's been a ton of scammers on VC lately, and, as the saying goes, "if it seems too good to be true..."
  6. haha, well thank you! things are going really well so far, don't get me wrong. i was more sad that you didn't get my joke. i'm stoked with how things have played out the first few days!
  7. not sure what the deal is with the banquet emails, since there has been literally ZERO communication between us about this record. interpunk is definitely getting copies, though. and yeah, the record is sold out! i think i just found a few boxes i forgot about in storage, though. they'll be on ebay for $150 each soon.
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dan-Andriano-Mike-Felumlee-split-vinyl-Alkaline-Trio-NoFx-Lawrence-arms-/220925529940?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item3370300f54 it's official: the record is out. we have our first eBay find!
  9. it's funny you mention that, because i already had to change up the way i'm numbering the test pressing covers. initially i thought i was going to use a silver sharpie, but that wasn't showing up on the dark blue mat board we used. so instead, i had to switch to a gold sharpie poster paint pen. still looks awesome (i texted you a closeup pic of the numbering on the copy i gave to dan), just different than what i had originally planned. eBay gold 1/1. also, your download code is in the jacket. along with the insert. trust me. it's in there. for real. keep looking. i promise it's in there. i personally stuffed all 1,000.
  10. case in point. ;-) but for real, michael was super nice. sdbh. would hang with again.
  11. i've got one of these up in my store, too, as well as a bunch of other rare items. my buy it now price on sundials is less than the starting bid of hers. www.artisticintegrityrecords.com
  12. http://www.ifyoumakeit.com/video/the-ergs/books-about-miles-davis/ it's not for everybody, but if he is for you, you'll love this.
  13. for what it's worth, the cover image is equal parts dan-inspired ("spitting out a lucky smoke ring around the moon" from Lucky Smoke Rings) and mike-inspired ("i'll stare out my bedroom window" from Something Better). the alkaline trio poster on the right is countered with the mike felumlee poster on the left. there was certainly a conscious effort not to make this a release by DAN ANDRIANO OF ALKALINE TRIO featuring mike felumlee of course, since dan is currently the bigger name of the two, he's going to attract more attention than mike. there's not a whole lot i can do about that. but there was definitely a lot of thought put into the cover art. matt, thanks for the heads up! i'll definitely keep that in mind if i ever re-release anything in the future. the next few releases i have lined up are all new material, though, so for now it won't be an issue.
  14. i hung with michael when i was in oakland a while back, and he is super fucking awkward. ;-)
  15. i hung with kurt when he was in chicago a while back, and i can attest that he is pretty not awkward.
  16. the original files for the artwork have been lost in the shuffle over the past 9 years, so we had 3 options: 1. say "fuck it" and blow the picture up to LP size and have it be all pixelated and gross looking. 2. do something like this: 3. make entirely new artwork hopefully when you see it in person (and not just some 600 x 600 pixel picture online) you'll catch a few of the details that are on it. no to mention all of the work that went into the digital download booklet, and everything else involved. also, if this is some of the worst cover art you've ever seen, you haven't seen very many album covers. but hey, thanks for stopping by!
  17. thank you. to everybody who has ordered so far, thank you so much. i'm going to try my best to have everything packed up and shipped out by the end of the week.
  18. i had to make the international shipping a flat fee, and i had to make it high enough that it would cover me for any and all countries. based on the No Idea calculator, shipping from illinois to germany is $14.00 (+ paypal fees, materials, and a trip to the post office), so i'm not SUPER far off on the price, but again, i had to make it high enough that i didn't have to ask anybody to pay more money than their checkout price. i'll refund international orders a few dollars after i calculate exactly how much it will actually cost to ship to each specific person. or, if you'd rather wait to order one from interpunk, that's fine too. they won't have any blue in stock, though.
  19. ^^ that's nuts haha. i don't think i've ever seen that release. i'll have to ask sam or josh about it and see if they have a copy still. and seriously, you guys... thank you SO much for your support. these guys have been in a real tough spot financially lately (isn't everybody?), so being able to raise this money to offset some of their upcoming costs is a huge break. it means the world to us all.
  20. this project has been fully funded! like i mentioned, though, the studio time is going to cost about twice as much as A!A!A was hoping to raise, so if you can spare even a couple dollars, everything will go directly to the band toward the cost of recording. i've got the vinyl production and everything else involved with that (mastering, plating, artwork, etc) covered, so your pledge would be helping the band directly. thanks to everybody who has donated so far. if you post here and have made a donation or plan on making one, let me know your real name so i can make sure you're extra taken care of when the time comes. i think i'm going to try to film the next show A!A!A plays, and if it turns out alright, i'll send you a copy of the file if we can figure that all out.
  21. i passed out an assload of fliers at the dopamines/dear landlord show for you tonight. curious to see how many download codes are utilized in the next few days.
  22. no lid. it'd be harder to sift through that way. the way you have it now is awesome
  23. i'll definitely be there. for those of you that don't want to pay for shipping, i'll also be selling some dan/mike splits at the merch table that night
