  1. Found a cheaper site for these (for now) - they are on DeepDiscount, after promo code TEACHER they are about $11 each with free shipping if you order all 3.
  2. I didn't hear about this, and I can't find much evidence for it through Google, but I was browsing DeepDiscount for vinyl with the current promotion ("TEACHER" - 15% off) and I noticed re-issues for the first 3 Elbow albums. http://www.deepdiscount.com/leaders-of-the-free-world/602527966557 http://www.deepdiscount.com/elbow-asleep-in-the-back/602527989792 http://www.deepdiscount.com/elbow-cast-of-thousands/602527966588 Kind of a big deal for me since I missed out on the uber-limited box set in 2012 and these are normally expensive as all get-up.
  3. It's weird how they say "Vinyl Exclusive", but the art they are using in the post specifically has a "Compact Disc" logo on the top-right.
  4. The images of the cover he is planning on are on Sean's Instagram page.
  5. How many copies total of TLOU were going to be pressed?
  6. I don't see any comments on discogs. My best guess is that someone baked 'em in the oven to try and fix a warp, but it ended up stress-wrinkling the vinyl. Assuming it was a used album.
  7. Yeah that is a tough one; I've never seen it on any of my wax. It has to be a manufacturing defect...too uniform to be anything else really, except for this image I have in my head of an old man tripping on a branch and scattering both discs into a bed of tiny rocks. Maybe vinyl wrinkles oddly if it dries at too cold of a temp? Get a dynamics engineer in here, guys. Can you tell us what the LP is? Maybe if you look up the entry on Discogs you will find others commenting on QC issues from the plant.
  8. Nobody is 'to say that' until there is some official word. I was just offering a theory. We'll find out when they arrive.
  9. I think there were 400 in the original pressing, which it looked like was in May or June...I saw it for sale in a few places. No idea how many are in this run.
  10. Good call. Went with Amazon since it will be cheaper without an added shipping cost, and Amazon has a history of making good on some pricing errors.
  11. Totally. Someone has got to be able to find a killer deal on a site with a working coupon. Bueller...
  12. Is there a press release for these at all? Wondering what stock is going to be like....
  13. No longer available at both Bullmoose and Amazon now. Still seems to be available at Amazon.ca.
  14. So, has anyone found any actual info on this release yet? I'm confused as to why Amazon is no longer accepting orders, but Bullmoose etc. are. Are we looking at retailer-specific packages, or is it likely that this is limited? I googled around a bit but still couldn't find any official word on the pressing. You'd think there would be a Disney tweet about it at the very least, considering the buzz/hype surrounding this album.
  15. So what happens to the releases he had pending? I was really pulling for that Super Metroid.
  16. Their personalities are indeed an elaborate ruse. You should watch some interviews of them. Ninja sitting like a proper gentleman, sipping tea.
  17. I know that variants are usually kind of bullshit, sort of like using a glittery lure to catch a fish, but I'm still attracted enough to them to try and pick them up even though occasionally I am critical of myself for doing so. The added layer of Susan G. Komen, however, just seems like bullshit overload to me. Such a scammy nonprofit. Are these releases actually affiliated with Komen, or are these artists legitimately trying to bring awareness/help to the issue? Are some of the proceeds being donated?
  18. My CC finally got hit with my Insound charge...about a week after it shipped. C'est la vie.
  19. Is the US shipping fee built into the price for these Stars of the Lid presses? Paypal is not showing me a shipping cost and I am at the "Pay Now" button...
  20. Damn dude that is the most beat-up I have ever seen a record mailer from Amazon. Looks like someone went all Pet Detective on it. That vinyl is one of the most beautiful I have seen to date though.
  21. Yes, I think this is roughly what has happened to me. I can only assume the charge will show up again in a day or two?
  22. Soo, this is an odd question, but did anyone else NOT get charged yet for a turntable that has shipped?
  23. Has anyone gotten any info from Amazon on this? I've gotten no activity whatsoever, but the other vendors that sell on Amazon are claiming stock.
