  1. In the latest episode, did it bother anyone else that they said "Vinyl Head" and "Vinyl Geek" long before they said "Vinyl Nerd?"
  2. I thought the same until young pete's AMA: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/wc33h/iama_comedian_and_musician_danny_tamberelli_i_was/c5c2yup
  3. The important question though is "Can you settle a sure bet?"
  4. I wondered what happened to her. Glad she's making new music. Golden Book is amazing. I have high expectations for this.
  5. Perhaps a small mixing board for the individual mics. That way you can adjust per person. You can also use software normalization in programs like audacity: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/normalize.html MP3gain is old, but I believe still works: http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net QMP3Gain appears to be a more up-to-date, open-source version of MP3gain. http://www.hecticgeek.com/2012/02/qmp3gain-free-mp3-normalizer-windows/ I've never used it, but http://www.kanssoftware.comlooks promising too.
  6. That's disappointing. I've ordered over a dozen records from them and they've always been very responsive.
  7. I've followed the podcast since episode 1. I like it a lot. My only crit is the lack of volume normalization. Some people's voices are very loud, some extremely soft. When listening in my car I frequently have to turn the volume up or down depending on who's speaking. Other than that, I'm a huge fan. Keep it up!
  8. Robert John - The Lion Sleeps Tonight (Wimoweh) 7" when I was around 8 or 9 years old.
  9. Just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It was more interesting than I was expecting. I'm now moving on to the 2nd book in the series, The Girl Who Played with Fire.
  10. I was very interested until I saw the price. I'm not going to pay more for an album just because the record is a color. I'll wait until I hear the rest of the album then pick up the black one.
  11. Dum Dum Girls, La Sera, Vivian Girls all dirt cheap. Great sale here.
  12. Refund and buy another copy with your refunded money. Think about it like this. Would you have knowingly paid full price for a record that you couldn't listen to 1/4 of? If no, then get your money back.
  13. Product & Preorder Page: https://www.polyvinylrecords.com/#product/lost_in_alphaville Soundcloud Sample: https://soundcloud.com/polyvinyl-records/the-rentals-thought-of-sound Lost In Alphaville is the long awaited and highly anticipated follow-up to The Rentals' landmark albums Return of the Rentals and Seven More Minutes. Sardy (Jay-Z, LCD Soundsystem) mixed the record. 'Earlybird Edition': 180-Gram Coke Bottle Clear, limited to 1000 180-Gram Black also available.
  14.   On ebay the responsibility is always on the seller. They guarantee the buyer receives their item in the condition described. If it doesn't arrive in said condition, they will side with the buyer and the seller is left holding all the loss. That's the breaks for using ebay to sell. Just as you as a buyer would ask a store to resend you a broken record you receive, you'll be asked to do the same or refund the money.
  15. Yep. Just got the canceled email too. Odd it's still for sale on the site though. Wonder if posting it for sale on the site today was a mistake.
  16. Are you a Surfer Blood fan? What makes you think you wouldn't listen to it again? What color is the record? I've read of some being clear and others black.
