This album is really good. Was really disappointed with that dub version of the last album and the Leon collaboration didn't do it for me either, so I passed on ordering this. I'll have to pick up a random pressing when I come across it.
Avoid the indie pink version. Lots of complaints on it being loaded with distortion. Poor pressing.

Preorder for this is up on Amazon. Price is $51.99 (ha ha). And the release date is July 10th.
I'll be ordering from the band/label.

Nothing says eco friendly better than pressing 15,000 copies of your entire catalog that's all already available and in print.

You probably have the 180g black version of the album. I believe that is what retail shops were getting in. I'd open it up and check.

Postponed due to world events...
Do you work with the band or know them? Curious where you get your inside information. Regardless, thanks for the update!

Mp3s from the RTJ website sound super compressed, especially track 3. Album is gonna take a while to digest.

So another album?

One of my absolute favorite bands that is consistently hindered by shitty vinyl and mastering (not to mention representation)
Wish they would ditch magic bullet/dark operative and find a label that will give them what they truly deserve.
Totally agree with you. New Others 1 and 2 pressings were surprisingly pretty decent based on my,copies.

The single is kind of boring.
Probably gonna hold off on this one, with so many variants floating around, it won't be hard to find a nice copy for cheap.
-
Just recieved my copy.
Here's a brief review.
Very thin paper jacket.
Simple insert with cover art.
LP in standard paper sleeve.
My record is without scratches or sleeve scuffs and is completely flat. A miracle it's not warped, as it seems every record I buy has some degree of edge warp.
I think the LP sounded pretty good. No surface noise. Played clean.
It's a bare bones re-release, but I'm happy to own a copy.

Yeah. I caved for the lime/pink. $52 shipped is a fucking rip off though! Luckily I just sold an album on Discogs, so this SE album isn't as harsh on the ole pocketbook.
-
Poly lined inner sleeve, or standard? Don't want them sleeve scuffs.
-
Any chance I can grab that Danger Doom and TWDY in Iceland? Not interested in any other titles.
-
Goddamn...I could go for an Oysterhead reissue.

Don’t Phish press at RTI? I haven’t had a bad sounding record from them yet.
I believe you re correct. RTI does usually put out high quality records.
This won't be a RSD release. It's likely a repress of one of their other titles. My guess is the White Tape or Big Boat.
-
Well that's exciting. Unfortunately, that white/black splatter is likely going to result in a fair bit of surface noise, based on other LPs I have pressed that have similar color schemes/opaque colors.

Sometimes big box sets like that are overly produced for RSD and sit around for years. You might be able to wait it out for a price drop in that case.
Not with Phish.

You can get the Rega RP8 on sale for $2k without a cartridge ($1000 off at Music Direct). Add the Hana or Rega Exact and that'll bring you up to around $2500.
Rega turntables last a lifetime. Very high quality build with excellent reviews all over the map.

Nice choice on the Rega

Yeah, but it’s cut at 45. I think they wanted the best quality.
They strive for the best quality with their releases. They are cut by Bernie Grundman, pressed at RTI, and the two records are pressed at 45 rpm and weigh in near 200 grams. That's how the latest Johnny Jewel records are pressed as well.
-
I got an extra sleeve as well.

Would absolutely love this as well. Especially if they did the whole LivePhish series.
Yeah, that Denver 97 show.

FYI, Mare Vitalis is being reissued soon by the same European company that did End Of Ring Wars. Granted most of y'all probably own an OG version or that recent Graveface reissue.
