I've listened to this in entirety 3 times now and I just don't know. I've been a big fan of the clean vocals because they've used them sparsely and effectively in the past. With that said, I still don't think that is the downfall of this album. The lyrical content seems pretty weak and the guitar work seems uninspired and redundant. I've still caught myself humming along to a couple tracks and it isn't a terrible record by any means, however it isn't what I expect from Darkest Hour. Disappointed would probably be the best way to describe my reaction to this one...

Finally got this over the weekend and just had a chance to listen to it for the first time. First thing's first, the packaging is quite stellar. Definitely worth the money. On the other hand, this really is a terribly annoying release to listen to... However, this might just be my favorite album of the year. They really stepped it up with this release and I'm pretty blown away by what I'm hearing. Definitely need to clear the schedule and check them out at Asbury Lanes.

Thanks, was just checking. A buddy of mine recently burned me a copy of Vol. 1 on cd and I love it. Figured I'd go ahead and pick up the other 2 albums, but didn't want to double-dip on a digital copy and the vinyl if it wasn't necessary.

Is the digitial download of the album emailed or does it come with a code in the actual set?

I just pre-ordered the green/black. And My World is definitely a better song than I Am King. Was kind of disappointed that those intro/outro pauses are actually part of I Am King and not just a gimmick in the video.

That restores my faith in this release.

Yeah, sorry for any confusion there. I'm unaware of those tracks being available on any physical media yet unfortunately. Got the screen printed cover in the mail today. Was pretty dinged up unfortunately and not all that impressive although I do enjoy the artwork.
