I played drums for these guys for a year or so back when they first moved to Portland in 2011. Really stoked to see the success they're having right now. Isaac's work ethic/songwriting chops are second to none. 

Great album indeed. Got to see him live a few months ago with Lawrence English and Loscil. That was a spiritual evening

You NEED to listen to "And The Glass Handed Kites".  Hands down one of my favorite albums of all time.

Spun this today and was very impressed. I never thought anything they did would come close to ATGHK/Frengers but this feels like it could potentially rival those after more listens.

New track has grown on me a lot after a few listens. I am too ready for this album to be here.

I'll be waiting it out for the vinyl before I listen to anything else. in that interview they were talking about sparse and minimalist electronic music and how it fits well with cold and snow cover environments like where they did the writing and recording. based on the visuals and the vibes I'm getting from the tracks I have heard, I think they are going for a different mood with this album. less dark and more transcendent. I personally find the songs on Shrines to be more unique and more interesting. But, I'd rather listen to something different than a remake of the last album...

Got a chance to chat with Emma at a Tera Melos show in Portland a few months back, such an awesome person and insanely talented musician. Some Heavy Ocean was my favorite album of 2014 and Kitsune has been a mainstay in my rotation. Really looking forward to the new album and seeing them play with Helms Alee next week.
