I already mentioned it was a giveaway item, then other one was replacement for an item good ol' USPS destroyed in transit lol. I only use PayPal shipping for 'outside of business' stuff, my shop platform offers a built in system that is much simpler (and cheaper, and you guys know how much I like to save money where I can lol). So no, these were expenses out of my own pocket anyway

Look, we've all said some things out of anger, and I know I should let sleeping dogs lie, but this needs to be said... It was actually 1 package that went overseas to, Sutton Coldfield, WM, the other went to Kissimmee, FL (which is a very arousing name for a town, dare I say). Boy is my face red! So it was $8 USD I didn't pay the federal postal service. Good thing I kept these receipts, they're really going to help me in court. 😇

Supply and demand, halted production causing shortages. People are having a hard time finding things they actually need because they're simply not being produced. Transportation companies lose business because they don't have any products to move.

And for clarification, businesses that can't function because of a lack of product or failure to deliver + stay lucrative has everything to do with transportation. I don't know if you know this or not, but the products sold at your local grocery store aren't made in the back of the store lol

The funny thing is, I'm an "essential worker" in the transportation industry. I've probably single handily done more to keep products moving across the country than you have (also the packages I shipped were giveaway & replacement items) 😄 But hey, if this interaction gives you a false sense of superiority then by all means, bask away. So the US goverment forces businesses to close, which takes a toll on transportation, I take advantage of a small loop hole saving less than $20 shipping items from my own business which has also been impacted, and I'm the asshole? OK, sound logic my dude ahahaha. When I get to hell for my sins I'll be sure to reflect on this exact message board moral grandstanding knowing that I could've been a living saint who single handily stopped hundreds of goverment employees going into poverty and chose not to. 🙄

Totally by accident haha, I bought a shipping label on PayPal and didn't realize I didn't click 'package'. By the time I noticed I had already taped it on a mailer and figured, "Screw it, if they return it I'll cancel this label and get a new one." They're usually pretty quick about that anyways (weight being off by 1oz lol), like next day rerun. I kept my eye on the tracking and it kept moving lol. Tried it again on purpose and got the same results. I'm sure they'll catch on eventually (it's the federal government after all) but I'm gonna take advantage of it while I can.

Thanks to these distribution centers I've been getting away with shipping to the UK paying only mail rates opposed to package rates lol, I guess they're not checking the label type or something, but typically I was paying $12 an item now only $4 including tracking and insurance.

It's definetly interesting. Yvette singing is a cool addition but it seems like she's doing less wildin' out on the guitar because of it. I know TMP went in this direction but seems like they focused more on writing coherent songs. This feels really spacey. I could see people who really enjoyed AF - LP3 really enjoying this as well.

I don't know how it is in states outside my own but I know people here in the more rural areas of SoCal are starting to struggle financially. Our governor is treating every community like it's LA/SF, and in a town like mine that has a much smaller population than either of those that is hurting a lot of people. I only know of 1 business here that actually got SBA assistance and maybe 2 people who were furloughed that got unemployment, everyone else applied and never got a response and that $1200 has already been spent on living expenses. In a community like mine where most of us minorities work in the service industry or are independent business owners and contractors this is taking a huge toll on them. The folks who are here without documentation and didn't qualify for the stimulus are REALLY hurting right now.

Fuckin' meat and ammo are scarce and marked up. These releases will for sure get the red marker treatment, especially since businesses are severely struggling right now and will be absolutely desperate in a few months (if they're even around by then). I wonder if a couple stores will be like, "yeah, fuck this, we have them in stock and bills to pay, buy em online now." If even one did this it would snowball and kill this entire dumbass idea lol

I saw that they put The Other F Word on Hulu, it's a really good look at what it's like to be in a touring punk band and a father at the same time. This morning before work I watched this doc about Slint. Super interesting band with a really weird career path - My drummer also recommended this documentary about Ginger Baker that's pretty wild.
