  1. The EPs are the only remaining Dashboard releases I'd want. Never listened to this Unplugged record so I'm gonna pass on it.
  2. Same old shit out here in the high desert. Wife's business is still getting bufu'd, I'm still going to work every day but the company laid off 75+ employees so on average my work load is 5x more what it should it. CA is still on fire. Kids are all still on FaceTime learning. At least it's finally going to cool down a bit, so I won't be troubleshooting high voltage circuits in 115° heat all day, it'll be a crisp cool 97° on average so that's nice 👎
  3. Got my Indie Swiss Amry record today. Mine is basically solid red but still looks cool.
  4. For the record I didn't merge these mwy/billie elish threads and highly doubt Juan did either. The moderation side isn't somehow fucking people over and making them miss POs. At all. If someone voluntarily bumps a thread with an adjacent repress/EP/whatever update that is certainly not our fault. Even if I wasn't a digital janitor here, I sure as hell wouldn't want to see several threads about Saosin on page 1 of the main board because some dude from their band made a cryptic social media post or something. If a thread about a release already exists bump the shit out of it, if it's some sort of super mega collector's reissue then make a new thread. It's really not a big deal and we're not the deep state of physical media lol.
  5. People did. A lot. Rumor threads were pushing active release threads down the board, making everything a mess. Long story short; we wouldn't have made a rule against it if it weren't an issue lol.
  6. Exactly. This wasn't some $20 indie release for Bandcamp. I'm usually reasonable about goofy stuff like seam splits, ring wear, even missing inserts and whatnot, but if you're gonna charge a premium for a limited edition item you could at least put a little elbow grease into securing the damn thing.
  7. Should probably post this in the good/bad CS thread, but general warning: record collectors should stay far away from Square Enix until they figure why it's important to properly pack this format securely before shipping. Nothing like paying full price for a collectible boxset that shows up damaged because the company's dumbass merchandise team wanted to skimp on $.10 worth of bubble wrap. Guess I shouldn't be surprised when your target audience are people who refer to records as, "vinyl." 🙄 Took two weeks to receive this response (below). Just let me return the damn thing for a replacement, this doesn't require an investigation, dammit lol /rant
  8. As an electrician I am bit saddened by the lack of circuit resistance references in the lyrics of Ohms.
  9. I've jammed this handful of times, and I gotta say this record is certainly worthy of the title 'Muck.' It's a really "corroded" and "wet" sounding album, I'm almost getting Strange Wilds vibes from it. This album is also a lot more akin to their Broad Shoulders/Mediumship era stuff in that it's a lot more atmospheric and open. I'm personally a bit disappointed by that because I absolutely loved Hail Something and was hoping this would be a more polished version of that style. Hail Something is very raw and fluid and sounds like a pissed off DIY album from a garage band (because it pretty much is exactly that lol). I don't dislike this, but nothing is really jumping out and kicking me in the cheekbone just yet. Also RIP Mr. Hooper.
  10. Grabbed the /300, Hail Something was a fucking banger, I hope this is on par.
  11. Not sure if it was mentioned in this thread or elsewhere but Brendan has been doing a podcast about their Larry Arm's/The Falcon's releases over the years leading towards Skelton Coast which is titled The Road To The Skeleton Coast. Super interesting tidbits, like a DVD commentary for their discography. http://www.betteryetpod.com/road-to-the-skeleton-coast
  12. The unfortunate problem with digital only game releases, with crazy copyright issues stuff can just get pulled regardless if you paid for it or not 😕
  13. Grabbed the indie red/pink galaxy from Bullmoose. $22.96 shipped. Fuck yeah. https://www.bullmoose.com/p/34623271/dashboard-confessional-swiss-army-romance-indie-exclusive-galaxy-red-pink-colored-vinyl
  14. SoCal is on fire, everyone is out of work, it's like 114°, take your time sir lol
  15. It has not :,( I emailed them about a week ago and got this response. Hi, thanks a lot for your order! Unfortunately we're still in the middle of clearing a transit route to the United States. Deutsche Post doesn't carry small packages anymore due to the lack of flights and issues in the custom processing. Shipping through DHL, FedEx or UPS would potentially be possible, but start at about 40 € in shipping fees. For the moment I sadly have only two viable options: A full refund or waiting until the situations clears up further. I'm very sorry. I replied and told them I understand, and that I'd wait until the 10th to see if things change and if not I'll take the refund. Huge bummer, but totally understandable. At least we know they have them in stock for a good price, so if this dumb virus ever backs off we can grab them later on 😕
  16. Alien Ant Farm did a live show from the Whiskey A-Go-Go a couple weeks ago, I just HMDI'd a Chromebook into my TV (and screen recorded the stream on my phone for latter 😬). You should be able to SmartView stream it to any smart TV from an Android device. I do it with premium podcasts often but the quality is kinda crappy.
  17. Hello Exile is easily my least favorite Menzingers album, however, I can't break up the discography, plus these songs on bandcamp sound way more interesting than the LP versions so screw it. *click*
