  1. Anyone have any solid recommendations from that RT sale? Maybe I'll just have to youtube a bunch of the titles. That Jay Som looked interesting so I listened to some of it and holy shit what a good fuckin album!
  2. Nice man! I haven't really found anything great at goodwill in a loooong time, I used to find awesome stuff. I think a lot of stores are taking out the good stuff and auctioning it off on their site. Oh well, garage sale season will soon be upon us......
  3. fuck yeah! Anyone know how many are being pressed?
  4. My local record shop had this listed as vinyl when it initially came out and I got super excited. I would love to see a vinyl release, but realistically I don't think it will happen.
  5. I'm going to hold out until they start paying people to take these off their hands......
  6. Yeah, I think there are probably copyright issues with some of the samples, Imogen Heap on "I'm God" for example. It will probably never happen, just like XXYYXX's album, sad panda.
  7. I love clammy clams. I'm really digging this new stuff so far, it's more akin to his early shit... slow, mellow, scaled back. I never could really get into 32 levels. I wish they would press instrumentals 2, 3, & 4. but I'm not holding my breath. Glad I was able to pick up Vol 1 a few years ago
  8. Ahh yeah, I think I have it figured out. The "shop" is the US based store and is offering free shipping. The "store" is UK based I believe, hence the high shipping. Kind of a bummer the UK store has some sweet deals on albums... Pink Moon, Eno Half Speeds, Interpol OLTA... all for $11.99. The prices and inventory are different for both, but the US has some good deals on rap, jazz, and Misfits albums
  9. I'm not able to get the free shipping to work. I got an email from them that said it was a one day only thing, so maybe I missed out. $57 worth of albums for $68 shipping is what it's showing right now... uDiscoverMusic is kinda wonky, I feel like they have an online "store" and and online "shop". Maybe one's based in the UK and one in the US? Both seem to have different prices.
  10. ehhh fuck paying $8 a box for BCW bullshit.... like others have said, go with the uhaul boxes, they're less than a buck a piece and hold a lot of vinyl perfectly.
  11. ok cool thanks. I'm still waiting on my smokey from boomkat. That pink seems really different from all the previous Stott variants
  12. Looks like most of the second press /500 blacks are gone. A few sites have a (bright ass) pink variant available...... Anyone receive the Smokey variant yet? It sounds like people on discogs are having trouble discerning the smokey from black
  13. Currently listening to this and some of the tracks go super hard. Definitely some bangers on this one, particularly Versi, Dismantle, and 'It should be us'. There's a couple 'Too Many Voices'-esque tracks, which I don't care for as much, but overall super solid EP. I am really looking forward to the new album.
  14. So looks like the smokey was limited to 500 (as stated earlier) and sold out. Boomkat says black is also limited to 500, but I'm not seeing that on any other sites, can anyone confirm?
  15. I saw this email today as well. I'm pretty excited for the Swim compilations. I'm curious on price and hoping it's not too steep. If you're interested, make sure you follow the link and add your email for early access!
  16. Any artists in particular you're looking for? Also, would NOT recommend Rollinrecs.com or any of the other websites they go by
  17. ehh the whole Waters v. Gilmour thing gets tiring. They played very well off each other up until The Wall, which is probably my least favorite floyd album. Yeah, it is a very good album and one of the most well known, but it's more of a Roger Waters album with a few Gilmour guitar solos. Conversely, Floyd w/o Roger can be quite dull. It sucks things went the way they did, but shit happens. It's probably for the best. Roger was pretty great on his Us + Them tour. I would still like to see Gilmour, but it sounds like he kind of hates touring nowadays.
  18. Pre Order Here Yeah.... not buying this, but thought others may be interested. I'm not a huge fan of 80's post-Roger Floyd. I do like Division Bell, but this just kind of seems like overkill. There is also a "Highlights of the Later Years" Double LP. I don't understand the releases the past few years. Endless River seemed kind of pointless, The Early Years was only available commercially on CD, and then this monstrosity of post-Roger somewhat redundant material. A box set of the studio albums would be an easy purchase for me. Also, any pre-Wall live releases would be sweet. Who knows, may not ever happen. I'll stick with all of my live bootlegs and not feel bad about buying them because Pink Floyd Incorporated refuses to press any live material pre-1987. It's probably due to some Roger/David squabble, but come on guys!
