  1. They are! But funds. Like I said in small talk once, I never know if I should focus on getting new releases for now, or focus on getting albums that have already been pressed. There's a handful of releases scheduled for early 2016 that I do not wanna miss out on.... blaah. Money is hard.
  2. I would really really love to hear Roads to Judah with a better mix. The music sounds so good but the mixing hurts it a lot, to my ears. Still love spinning it.
  3. So did I but then I remembered about my LIMITED EDITION SPOOKYLICIOUS POPTARTS I'll look into ravenous next time I'm in a movie mood.
  4. Yeah, there's always that feeling of lack of closure when a musician dies like that. I'm the same way with Chuck Schuldiner. The Sound of Perseverance was his most interesting work, in my opinion, and I would really like to see what he would've come up with 5 years later.
  5. Finally spinning that Deafheaven album and holy shit. I know they normally remix/master albums for vinyl but jfc this sounds like a completely different mix. I can hear every instrument perfectly. I'm a fan.
  6. Maybe I should revisit In Utero. I do quite like Heart Shaped Box.
  7. Nirvana is one of those bands I just somehow couldn't get crazy about. Every time I've tried listening to an album of theirs I can't finish it. Idk why. They definitely fall in the category of "Really important and I recognize their talent and influence but I can't get into them." I'd be curious to see what members of this board who really really like extreme metal think of Unexpect.
  8. Gonna finally be spinning this. Great morning album, huh?
  9. One of the empty voids in my collection that will haunt me until it's filled.
  10. Fever was enjoyable. I haven't listened to it super recently, but yeah. I need to listen to Pretty Odd. Just never did.
  11. Will do eventually. I've heard of Patsy Cline, but not the former, tho.
  12. Hm. I definitely heard a country band when I thought I was hearing Dave Matthews Band, then, and have avoided listening to them since. I guess I just thought it was them I was hearing 'cause they were like one of the top-billed musicians at the festival. Still sounds like I shouldn't listen to them, though.
  13. Phish isn't, obviously, but I thought Dave Matthews Band was? Idk. My only memory of them is hearing them at "Family Gras" against my will.
  14. Country is just one of those genres I cannot get behind. I think there's a Johnny Cash song or two I can dig.
  15. Anyone into post rock/post metal should definitely consider throwing on that Irepress album, Sol Eye Sea I. One of the most unique albums I've ever heard in that genre cluster.
  16. I mean, I enjoy it. It just seems very hard to 'hate' to me. Dislike, of course, but I can't imagine hating 40oz to freedom. Oh well. I wouldn't expect the average person on this board to like Unexpect, but an album of theirs is pretty secure on my list, so its whatevs.
  17. I agree w doom, but I understand putting it on someone's top 10. How does one fucking hate Sublime, tho??
  18. It so is. Ugh. Definitely top 10 worthy. I can back P!ATD, MCR, The Blood Brothers, Madvillain, and Sublime for sure.
  19. I work at a shopping mall, and will likely be scheduled to work on Black Friday. :/ The thought has been lingering in the back of mind since all this and it creeps up sometimes.
