Just because you don't find 'pussy' particularly offensive doesn't mean that others don't or shouldn't. Some people draw the line at 'pussy' where you draw the line at 'faggot'.

Like I said, I'm not offended. I just find a person or entity who uses their public platform to reinforce sexism, whether that entity identifies as sexist or not, is neither funny nor is it a quality that should garner anyone's respect. I do appreciate the civility and thought in your response though.

bigbruise's list is backed. A few of those bands are on Exploding in Sound, which has a solid roster rooted in fuzzy indie.

My Day: Up early. First in line. Two of the three items I wanted to get at the store weren't there. The third was a disappointment. Dud of a year. Ha ha. 

I think the wife's testimony is spelled out pretty clearly in the article if you pay attention.  The daughter's voice was heard in aye video.  1 out of approximately 100.  I'm no lawyer, but's my guess that if it was the same video as him going to town on his trouser snake, that the article, and she, would've said so, and a bigger deal would have been made out of it.  I'd wager her voice was in the background in the kitchen or living room or something, not during a sex scene.  Someone snooping and looking for evidence of cheating is seeing negative, almost no matter what.  Where any normal video chat conversation with a kid's voice in the background would go unnoticed, but to the snooping wife looking for courtroom ammo, "troubling", in her own words.  I think she'd find it much worse than "troubling" if it was during the sex tape.  Something more like shocking, appalling, scary, you get the idea.
 
Not taking any sides just yet, just piecing together logic.  If we find out otherwise, I'll be the first to throw the idiot under the bus.  I also like to say the picture in the article doesn't look like the New Found Glory Steve we've all known over the years.  That guy has a skater hat of sorts, and a guitar, looks kinda young, and like one of the guys.  Not like someone who could be capable of such crimes.  The guy in the courtroom shows an older looking regular dude, somewhat balding, who I say....  "Eh...ok, maybe I could see it now."  He's like Frosty The Snowman, take away the hat & the magic is gone.

DDP is a great human. I know he didn't do a ton when he was in the WWE but it would have been nice to see him inducted with Hall and Roberts.

I'm sorry to junk up your thread with newbie talk, but I recently started getting into jazz. Kind of Blue was my jumping off point, and I've branched off from there. I really like Bill Evans' work from around the same period. I'm more into Cannonball's playing on the record than Coltrane's. If any of this is useful knowledge, some suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if anyone wants to sell me a cheap copy of Kind of Blue, PM me! Thanks.

Having played guitar for about 13-14 years already, I've found that music theory is not necessary to progress your playing. You can be classically trained all you like, but at the end of the day, it's creativity that matters the most. If you feel limited, try transposing other instruments in songs to guitar. That will have you learning more quickly and give more towards your eventual technique.

Ryan - the most miserable job I had was working for UF doing tech work and security at the arena and stadium. I had enough of the abuse and being handed truly dangerous jobs with no training. So one day I went in and filled out the forms to report sexual harrassment against the two Frat Boy supervisors who were always making shit miserable. Once the interview on the matter and the paperwork was in I quit. No looking back I felt I left it a better place and was stoked to move on. It's criminal what UF pays those kids for the kind of work they demand. 

There's a really good recording of Pagan Baby from some live studio session the did. I assume Kick Flips is the same is Kick Flips for Weeks from the Person L split. There is an acoustic version of Love Me a Good Microcosm from the Pink Couch Sessions. There are probably live videos of a lot of the other songs. When they played at Fest last year I think they played at least 3 unreleased songs.
 
I'm very excited for this record. Weatherbox is my favorite band of all time, and since I've already heard a lot of the songs in some form and enjoyed them, I'm not afraid of being disappointed by this at all. Hopefully with Triple Crown they finally get the recognition they deserve.
