After folks get through their 10th listen to Gnosis, look forward to hearing your thoughts, including the vinyl quality.
Absolutely love the record, but haven't listened to the vinyl yet so no comment there. They don't deviate from their formula, it's structured exactly like their last few records (6-7 tracks, 3-4 bangers + 2 transitions + another one), but it is such a pleasure to listen to. Take my thoughts with a grain of salt, favorite band and all.

Excellent news. I feel like I enjoyed Blood Year more than a lot of folks were able to. Not quite up Guidance's quality, in my opinion, but still really good. I listened to a live version of Conduit about a month ago and thought it was great – can't wait to hear a studio take on it.
This is exactly how i feel. Loved guidance, liked blood year very much, and new song rips.

Got the German press. Pumped for this.

Also, new Bossk and Amenra upcoming? Crazy good year for post-metal, with those three.
Both new songs for Bossk and Amenra are fricking rippers.

New DVNE albume on metalblade. From the sound of the first bit I listened to it's gonna be pretty good.
I've been waiting for this release for a long time. I still have their first record on heavy rotation. Too bad I missed the variants I would have chosen, oh well. Ended up with the grey/yelllow-green marble.

No bias there whatsoever. But should be a contender for sure. Excited to hear, i'm down for solitude at least

Haven't listened to these guys since their Revolt/Resist days. Listened to Rare the other day and was intrigued. But this single is just bad. Nothing redeeming about it.
I'm in a similar boat, last thing I listened to was Let Go. I was surprised by the single and I had to check that this was the same band.

New Toundra went up for pre-order. I've just seen black 2xLP on narshaada and inside out music. But on Facebook they say they will have 3 other versions outside of the black. Don't know where those are yet, or even if they are up.

This sure is a nice development.

It's been a while but the riffs are back in town.

Warning: APPRECIATION POST
I just want to take this opportunity to thank whoever posted the Spotlights link in here a month or so ago. You deserve a gold star for it because it is wicked awesome. I've been listening to it a lot and I think it has staying power for me.It strikes the perfect balance between heavy (guitar) and gaze (vocals). It's recommendations like these that keep me coming back, because there is no way I would have found it otherwise. So, a general thanks for all those who post and continue to post new bands.

Ranges aesthetics > Ranges songs 🤷♂️
Thought they would push themselves on this new one but it’s literally The Ascensionist Pt 2 which was already generic af. Very safe post-rock.
At least it sounds like Ranges & they have a bit of a distinctive flair, unlike Pillars.
This is exactly how I have felt but never knew how to articulate it. Thanks for that.

Only a minute in, but that change from quiet to chord, so good. Sign me up!
Shivers! I got shivers while listening. God I hope I'm not overly hyped about this record and the rest is just as good.

Thank you. I guess they’re literally under “PSOTY”? Has that always been a thing?
God damn it. It's the same on Tidal.

Spotlights is my number 1 to see for the weekend. Thicccccc dense heavy riffage for days. Their newest album is in my top 5 for the year so far.
Spotlights, huh? Why is this my first time hearing about this record? Well, just pressed play because "Thicccccc dense heavy riffage for days" is right up my alley.

In other news, The Shaking Sensations quietly dropped another solid new track a few weeks ago. Probably my most anticipated instrumental release late in the year. Proof that meat-and-potatoes post-rock can still be done well.
Also, for any post-metal fans in here the new Cranial album seems like it’s gonna be huge. First track is so dense, so riff-heavy. I love it. http://thesludgelord.bandcamp.com/album/alternate-endings
Cranial gets an official thumbs up from me. Thanks for posting!

Ranking a Russian Circles album last is like ranking pizza. Even your least favorite pizza is still fucking pizza & is incredible haha. It’s more the ending of Enter which is full of songs I never go out of my way to listen to.
Ain't this the truth. Geneva is 2nd to last for me. And top two are Guidance and Empros.
