  1. I was at his "As Am I" event at Zuzu's last night. $290 for a VIP ticket and a 7 hour drive and he still couldn't sign my OG siamese dream LP for me which I've been trying for years to get signed. He always says "nah cause if I sign one then I have to sign everyone's". There were 15 people in there, all die hard fans, and that was too much to handle yet he can sign copies to be sold for $200 online that any chump can buy. Really shows you how much he values his fans. I've been a fan forever and have come to expect this kind of behavior from him but I think that's the last time I give him any money for anything.

  3. Let me know if you have one lying around you could sell me. Thanks.
  4. I thought that at first too, but there was a bar of options where you could pick the item you wanted. It was a little counterintuitive considering most sites just use a drop down list.
  5. Love when people pray for a reissue because originals are too rare-expensive, then it finally comes and they complain about the price. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. No need to post about it.
  6. Looked great to me! HONESTLY I'd give the whole show a 10/10. I enjoyed it as much as some much bigger acts I saw this summer like Radiohead and LCD Soundsystem (both favorite bands of mine). It felt so personal and meaningful, like I was in a crowd of my best friends all singing along to songs that define our existence. Not to be sappy haha. But I had a huge smile on my face the entire time.
  7. My two most recent acquisitions. You guys may be familiar with them. Mike came out to the line waiting for doors beforehand and took some photos and signed stuff, so that was cool. Then afterwards I went upstairs to take out some cash for a poster and the Steves were up there with their families/neighbors/friends, who were all very excited/in disbelief that these guys actually have fans wanting autographs haha. It was cute. Got to chat with each of them about making new music and playing for bigger crowds, etc. Had to wait out in the side alley for Nate Kinsella to come out, Steve Holmes eventually went and got him for me.
  8. Just a reminder Lucy Gray is going up online tomorrow.
  9. Saw them tonight in Chicago. Fantastic show. They sounded really, really good. They played everything from both albums but not in order. I actually really enjoyed the new stuff live, more than I expected to. Also hung around and met them and their families after, they're all super nice people. Go see them if you can. Also, Joan of Arc opened. A guy in a banana suit and mask danced around and smushed bananas up in his hands and handed them out to the audience, so there's that.
  10. I'm driving 7ish hours to the Chicago show this weekend. Pretty dang excited. Never thought I'd get to see these guys live.
  11. A user here recently hooked me up with Mario 64 so I'm hoping someone will have an extra copy of these as well.
  12. From what I understand some people buy/sell/trade games in here. Anyone have Mario 64? I just got an N64 and want to relive some nostalgia. Thanks.
  13. I've listened to the album maybe 10-20 times now and enjoy it for the most part, but something has always annoyed me slightly and I finally realized what it is. It's Kinsella's word-attack when he sings. He's doing this soft pretty attack to his words, much different from how he sang on LP1. He softly glides into them, and I just find it kind of cheesy. Otherwise I like everything else. I wonder if the change was intentional or if he just brought over his Owen style.
  14. Enjoying the album but it won't overcome LP1 for me. Not a tremendous fan of how "pretty" Kinsella's singing style has become. And I'm with the others who said it's been mixed too far up front. Still looking forward to receiving the vinyl and can't wait to see them in Chicago.
  15. I had class and couldn't attend the mpls event. I just picked up the limit of 3 in EC, so I have the 2 extra.
  16. I have 2 extra newspapers. I'll give them to a couple folks for free (besides shipping) but you have to PM me with a tidbit or story about why the band is important to you or why you connect with their music. I'll choose my 2 favorite responses in a couple days. Oh and shipping only to USA.
