Also, dude.... IV by Toundra is AMAZING. Good lord, this is awesome stuff. Also, you ever notice that sometimes when you buy an expensive white whale album, then more copies start flooding the market? I picked up PG.Lost's "It's Not Me, It's You!" like a month ago, and ever since then there's been at least 2 other copies float out on Discogs, for slightly cheaper. One is still up now for $55 Euros. All told I paid $80 including registered shipping for mine. Not sure this album is worth THAT much money, music-wise, but I'm glad I have it. I think I'm feeling like "Key" is the better record out of their 3. "Sirens" on vinyl though... that was a trip. That side came out verrrrry nice.

Anybody else pick up Dead-Ender's Reunion the other day? Some SWEEEET fucking stuff is in there. My favorite so far is definitely "Back To Where You Began" which is a quiet version of Untitled VII. So sick. Also included in the purchase if you pay money for the release are a shit-ton of live and demo tracks, as WELL as a 5.1 DVD full mix of The Galilean Satellites, with both discs mixed together. What a trip listening to that, with the two overtop each other. It takes that music to even higher peaks. Unreal shit.

any word on their recent setlists? I'm hoping they keep Loft in their for when I see them in Rochester. Also taking a buddy of mine to see them for the first time.

So what are we thinking in terms of the S/T group buy now? I don't want to miss out on that, if we can save some cash on getting a bunch of those over here. Also, I would totally be down for a Toundra group buy for either II or IV. These records are great. I think I like IV better than II, but its still early. Only just checking this stuff out now for the first time. Also, what about throwing in some money for good plastic outer sleeves? I always prefer my records shipped outside of the jacket, so they don't get seamsplits. If this is something we can coordinate also, that would be fantastic.

I get where he's coming from, though. I mean, they could have at least given us an explanation. Like, "Hey guys, we feel like huge dicks about this, but the plant just bumped our order because Tame Impala wanted to run 10,000 copies of Currents." Or "Hey guys, we apologize but the plant made an error with the plates and the records came out sounding very poor. We want you guys to have an amazing-sounding record, so we're having them run it again." Or something like that. As opposed to "This record is delayed. Sorry." ad nauseum

DUUUUUUUUUUUUDE Okay, please listen to this song, guys. It's by a band called We.Own.The.Sky and it's called "Raindrops and Oceans" The early part of the track recalls the lower-register darker grooves of Jakob, and some of the later guitar work recalls a bit of ITTCT use of delay rhythms, but man... the middle build bridge of this song is just to die for. The pay off riff isn't totally what I was hoping for, but holy good lord, those chill grooves are so delicious. Check it out, guys

Oh shit. I've been holding on to the Yellow in my cart for a while because I like that variant a lot better. Decisions decisions... Also, someone just snagged "In Never Out" by PG.Lost for $60 the other day. GRRRRR. I'm buying a bunch of stuff from the dude, and he was like "the guy is being flaky, if he doesn't pay by Thursday it's yours." He paid yesterday. Faaaaack!

So..... Kings road just replied to me saying that the vinyl won't start shipping from the plant until January 15th. So that means a February arrival if we don't get a 7th delay announcement.....

Yeah I actually just picked up a new Shure stylus today, haven't gotten a chance to spin anything with it yet but I'm hoping that helps. My old was definitely worn out from being used a lot for the past 5 years and never replaced. But yeah, the thing has scratches and was noisy as fuck. Hoping the VPI at my local record shop can fix it. Also gotta get my copy of Hiraeth cleaned. Good lord, that thing is a sand trap. Never seen anything like that before ever...

Fair point. This is why I ask you guys, haha. It was packaged pretty good... outside of the jackets and everything. I think the discs slid out of the sleeves enough to get abrasions from the cardboard mailer, becuase they're all close to the edge of the discs. I'll have more time to inspect tomorrow. It just sucks because we settled outside of Discogs and I don't want to open a claim with paypal. The dude has been super responsive to emails and very easy to deal with. Is this just something I have to sit back and accept, people suck at grading and analyzing the condition of their stuff? Gonna take it to my record shop and have them clean and spin it, because I think my needle is fucked anyway which could be hurting the sound. I threw on Immortal's Sons of Northern Darkness the other day and it sounded like absolute dog shit. My friend was over, and I was embarrassed. Not sure what that was about.
