I have my alumni interview with someone representing Stanford today, wish me luck that it goes well. I'm nervous and frightened.

Inventory day! Working 3-11am, then making the 90 minute roundtrip to vote. For Trump, obviously.
 
I'm overly caffeinated and I really want to smoke the joint I forgot to take out of my purse...but I won't because I'm am adult.
 
Girlfriend gave me an early birthday present so I'd have new boots for work. Sick pair of Doc Martins that we grease/waterproofed. Gonna stomp some faces in.

Currently building my own cabinet. About a week into the build. Pictured is right after I glued the pine top to the unit itself. It's clamped down as it dries. When it does I'll be cutting the ends so they're even, obviously. I'll be staining the whole unit, adding a little stopper to each 'cube' so all the records will be flush and won't go back but so far, as well as putting an LED strip under the top overhang (probably). Then I have a few minor things to touch up like sanding a few parts to make it perfectly even, as well as adding wood stripping to cover the face. Then maybe do some molding under the overhang of the pine top. This is my first time building a piece of furniture, so it's been fun. I'll take photos when it's done and all set up and an album if you guys are curious about teh design and build process.

Going to see Portugal. The Man Wednesday. First time seeing them in years. Thankfully my super flaky friend did not back out like I thought she would, so I don't have to go alone.

I used to have like the lowest pain tolerance. As a kid I would lose my mind and have panic attacks if I needed to get blood drawn. After several decades of life kicking me around now I'm just like "Eh, whatever" in the face of most physical pain.
 
I fucked up my neck pretty bad a couple months ago. This was an almost daily conversation with my girlfriend:
 
"My neck hurts so much when I do this *turns*"
"Well then don't do that..."
"...*look of confusion*...uh?"
"...if it hurts then don't do it"
"I don't understand"

EVERY TIME I DIE PLAYED EBOLORAMA!!!!
 
I went pretty hard for most of their set. But after that song and then again after Floater I had to leave and chug a bottle of water really quick.

So this is what I'm doing for the top. Antiquing it, sanding  it, staining it. It's gonna look like old barn doors. I'm stoked. 

I just bought tickets to see Nick Cave in June and The Damned in April. It feels weird buying tickets for shows that aren't happening for 6-7 months. 
 
I'm so excited though.

Oh fuck yes. The Jim Jarmusch documentary about The Stooges opens here tomorrow and I'll be going on Sunday. So stoked.

Enjoy your Sunday folks, I have to "work" today. Still loving the new job and it's moving into full time starting next week, been nothing but praise so far. This has been a good move already, making new friends, family get togethers, and settling in nice at work.

After stupidly selling off my Appleseed Cast collection last year, I now have them all again. Best part, didn't have to shell out a ton!

Morning all. I dunno about the mosquito bites and the few painful scratches on my legs, but I actually had fun mowing an acre of grass yesterday with a pushmower. But ooooooooh am I sore this morning lol

DJ Shadow kinda fell off but the new album is his best work in a long time. 

If you aren't big on instrumental I wouldn't hold your breath but I hold it among the greatest of all time (and I'm far from alone in that).

Morning all. Can anyone explain why yard work is such a dreadful experience when you're a kid, but somehow now I seem to enjoy it, apart from the slight sunburn...
