  1. That Paypal issue was a random fluke... and as Matthew pointed out, it had nothing to do with Deathwish. Just a bad coincidence for you to stumble across. Like many, I've ordered from their label countless times over the years. They typically ship out on the same day (or the next), have unbeatable prices, deliver quality product, and are willing to go above and beyond for their customers. And like Juan said: it's just run by good people all around. I know you weren't ragging on the label or their practices. And it's understandable that you'd have questions if you've never placed an order with them before. But to anyone who's ordered from DW more than a couple of times - or anyone who's been on the boards for a while - the idea of suspecting Deathwish Inc. to be a sketchy label is simply asinine. Not to sound like a fanboy, but I can personally think of no label I'm more comfortable or eager to support with my hard earned money. "Buy with confidence" is right. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.
  2. I guess that's where the confusion lies on my end. I know that Brand New threads typically end up resulting in train-wrecks: redundant questions, speculation, reposts, and drivel. I usually stay out of them, but if I do find myself skimming the topic and shaking my head... I see no real purpose or benefit from chipping in with "lol brand new threads". This could just be me. It's quite possible that I'm incapable of "having fun" on message boards. I don't really know. What I do know is that there are zero posts of substance on this page so far, unfortunately. And while that's certainly not the end of the world, it does deter myself [and probably a few others] from checking in to see if anything substantial has been posted. But whatever. Regarding the Jerry.gif; my apology was actually sincere. Like I said - I wasn't singling you out. My post was highlighting Thrice's flack in comparison to a few other bands. Which is why I tried to avoid quoting anyone in particular. If you presumed there was a personal grudge or jab on my end, you are mistaken. My post - this whole thing, actually - is nothing to be upset about. And I'm sorry if that's what's come to pass on your end. I haven't had much heart for the whole "condescending bullshit" thing as of late. If that was portrayed somehow, I take fault. But, again; it's pretty whatever at this point.
  3. I can't say that I am. I get the impression you may be? - my post was directed at the ambiguous audience of "lolthrice" contributors. Not you or anyone in particular. I'm sorry you've become irate or offended. I do find it amusing that there's always a group of people who roll their eyes any time a Thrice thread surfaces. And, granted, there are quite a few... but for as much "love" as the band gets here at VC, there are an overwhelming amount of sourpusses who jump at the opportunity to clutter threads relating to the band, or comment on an inflated number of threads pertaining to them. I do think it's ironic that that audience is absent in threads from the aforementioned bands. Except for Brand New. Everyone loses their marbles over Brand New, and everyone else knows it.
  4. Unless you can count every album you've listened to on two hands, or have a library of 100% musical gems... I have my doubts. Completely awful? What did you think of Intimacy?
  5. Both are in stock at the moment. I've noticed that items in the Deathwish e-store flicker between OOS and available as quantities grow scarce. That, or someone is throwing off the counts.
  6. That's pretty rad. A kickoff of sorts. I've got a couple of weeks to wait... but I'm hoping to really familiarize myself with the new material as they pass. I know they pressed an abundance of ATF tour copies - so much that they unloaded the extras on King's Road after the tour concluded. Kind of hoping there's a similar approach this time around, and that everyone who wants one will be able to grab it. That is, of course, assuming there will even be any tour-exclusive goodies.
  7. They actually lasted a bit longer than I had anticipated. Is it too soon to speculate about tour exclusives?
  8. I enjoyed this immensely. I had pretty high expectations after (II), and I feel like they were met with flying colors.
  9. Worlds different than Gaslight Anthem, La Dispute, Tigers Jaw, Brand New, and Hot Topic repress threads. Let me tell you.
  10. It hasn't been specified yet, but the description says that it includes a 9" x 14" print. Could be a hint of sorts. I'm just glad that this is actually a book, hardcover and all. The past few bundles or pre-orders I've purchased have included "books" that turn out to be thick, glorified CD booklets.
  11. Highly doubt it. Every Converge album for the last ten years or so has packed in some serious variety. I'm expecting AWLWLB to have a bit of everything.
  12. No. Deathwish is just lagging, per usual Converge pre-orders.
  13. Probably the fastest I've ever rolled out of bed and dented my checking account on two sites simultaneously.
  14. Let's get political here at VC. That always goes well.
  15. Sorry guys. But I'm not going to forget about this anytime soon.
  16. My copy looks identical to this. Which is a nice variant, sure, but I saw a (far cooler) colorway go for $50+ last week... and I thought that was nuts.
  17. They're the tracks that've been released on all the 7"s, post Axe To Fall.
  18. And in addition; Someone should probably get on that.
  19. Probably because both physical releases have been bumped back a week or so, according to all the posts Circa made this week.
  20. I can agree to certain aspects of that. But the imagery itself isn't as "specific" as Jane's face or No Heroes' eagle dove. Not that it's a big deal - I just struggle to imagine someone loving this album to death, five years from now, and committing to replicate its cover as a tattoo, stencil it on random objects, or mimicking its design through a wall of stacked CDs. And that has nothing to do with the quality or music itself; I'm speaking specifically from a design standpoint.
  21. It's been more than 24 hours, and I'm still waiting for the ... psyche!
