  1. A bit of a bummer, but still... I think that anyone who's itching for this record will be content regardless of the cover or wax variant.
  2. Hey, thanks. Not that I'd be willing to make the trade... but just for the sake of entertaining the idea, would you be willing to swap your GFE for a RSD copy of Sometimes? Purely hypothetical, and not something I'd really consider doing. Pure curiosity. Consider yourself PM'd.
  3. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure this won't be 180 gram. That will not, however, effect or deter the amount of ass this release will kick.
  4. I'm expecting this to sell out rapidly on HT.com. Also hoping that when and if Vheissu gets a (HT exclusive?) repress, it's on colored wax and features the CD art. It'd be awesome to see two different versions of the LP, just like with this one.
  5. I know these aren't the most common requests, but I'm looking for three specifics variants if anyone can help me out. Isis: Wavering Radiant (Coke Bottle Blue) Toundra: (II) (Clear) Gifts From Enola: From Fathoms (Translucent Green-Blue) Explosions In The Sky: All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone (Cream-yellow AB, Navy Blue CD) A post or PM would be super appreciated. I check in regularly -- hopefully we can work something out.
  6. Wait a second. I somehow got you into this band? Hah, I had no idea. I'm assuming I introduced them via Turntable? Also wanted to say that the dudes at KR are - as expected - awesome and genuine. They sent me an entirely new copy immediately, and a prepaid mailer. It's all good.
  7. Really? I've purchased my fair share of headphones throughout the years. Only a few of which could be considered of audiophile quality, but still; many priced in the mid and "economy" range. I've always been impressed with the clarity and comfort of the 202s, as well. I believe they sound better than, say, any Bose models I've ever owned. I always recommend them to friends on a budget, and I've been three for three so far. [One friend even had her pair mauled by her cat; she bought a replacement the same day, without hesitation.] But to each his own.
  8. Came here to post this. I use this pair more than the Audio Technica ATH-M50s a few others have been recommending. [Which are awesome in themselves. I've just yet to break my pair in, and keep falling back on the comfort and quality of those HD-202s.] Can't recommend them enough... especially for their price-tag.
  9. Because the name "Record Rarities" justifies asinine flipper prices.
  10. I typically never ask this, but is there any possible way that someone could pick up a copy of this Euro press? You'd feel great about helping out a fellow VCer, and I'd pay you handsomely in return. It's a win-win on your end.
  11. Pretty much this. Though it doesn't pertain to TIOS, this is Thrice related. And a little face-palm worthy.
  12. Yeah, it's hands-down better than any eBay price. I was just expecting a different retail value, I suppose.
  13. Crazy good or bad, in your opinion? It's gone for ~$300 a few times.
  14. So they're working on getting the rights. That's a bit different than "reissuing them very soon". I'd love to own these at their retail price. I'll hold out for an official repress, and hope that the band can actually make them happen.
  15. Try here. I'm not sure if it's the same exact model, but it sure looks like it.
  16. Miffed that you didn't get in on one of these /25 colored pressings? Thank this guy.
  17. And for what it's worth, Frazierauctions can hardly be considered as a realistic price of reference. Ever.
  18. But that was 11 days ago. Do you have any idea how much the value of this thing has skyrocketed since?
  19. It's whatever. I'm not riled up, and I don't think I did anything wrong. Pardon the drama - I'm over it. Carry on guys.
  20. I'm defensive because you continue to insist I'm some kind of prick who tells everyone one thing, and then goes back on his word. And not just in my thread, but in various topics throughout VC. And that doesn't fly. For clarification's sake, I never said I was going to sell to you. I said that you had the best offer out of the various PMs, and that I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I made that very clear. Your actions would be entirely justified had I exclaimed Sold! and given you Paypal information. But that's not remotely close to what happened. I understand that you're bitter about not being able to own Vheissu at half of it's going-rate. Really, I am, and I sympathize with you. But I'm not a villain for looking at things practically. I tested the waters on VC, considered the various PMs, and weighed it against the eBay advice I was receiving. It's as simple as that. And for what it's worth, I've been contacting my buyer and keeping close tabs with him. Turns out he's working on completing a Thrice collection of his own, and he was extremely grateful that I was able to provide one of his few missing pieces. So... because he has deeper pockets than you, you think it's cool to visit completely unrelated threads and slander my name? Were I in your shoes, I would have shrugged my shoulders and gotten over this days ago. I've actually been in your situation, though amplified for the worse; buyers telling me they're going to sell me something when they "go home for the weekend", receiving their Paypal info, etc., only to have them back out at the last second. It's life, and it happens. I don't fault them for it, and I sure as hell don't run around talking shit about them. *edit* Curiosity got the best of me, and I referred to my Outbox on the off-chance that I had accidentally implied I'd sell to you. And I literally tell you - twice - that while $140 is a good number, my odds would probably be better on eBay. I even recommended saving your money and waiting on a repress. I also mention that I'd be taking a day or two to decide what I officially wanted to do. Do you struggle with reading comprehension?
  21. Wait. Are we still going on about this? I'm sorry for seeking advice from a vinyl community, following said advice, and proceeding to make $140 over your "incredibly reasonable" offer. Throw in the fact I started my listing at $0.99, didn't set a reserve, didn't offer an asinine BIN price, and didn't even bump my thread. [Minus the part where I helped a guy score a used copy for a reasonable price.] If all of that makes me an idiot or an asshole, I think I'm okay with it. Especially over a record that you'll wind up buying for $25 next year, when it receives an inevitable repress. It's time to move on. If you're getting this bent out of shape over an offer that I had entertained for an hour, I dread the day when an eBay seller may actually screw you over. OP has my apologies for derailing [t]his thread.
