  1. Miffed that you didn't get in on one of these /25 colored pressings? Thank this guy.
  2. And for what it's worth, Frazierauctions can hardly be considered as a realistic price of reference. Ever.
  3. But that was 11 days ago. Do you have any idea how much the value of this thing has skyrocketed since?
  4. It's whatever. I'm not riled up, and I don't think I did anything wrong. Pardon the drama - I'm over it. Carry on guys.
  5. I'm defensive because you continue to insist I'm some kind of prick who tells everyone one thing, and then goes back on his word. And not just in my thread, but in various topics throughout VC. And that doesn't fly. For clarification's sake, I never said I was going to sell to you. I said that you had the best offer out of the various PMs, and that I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I made that very clear. Your actions would be entirely justified had I exclaimed Sold! and given you Paypal information. But that's not remotely close to what happened. I understand that you're bitter about not being able to own Vheissu at half of it's going-rate. Really, I am, and I sympathize with you. But I'm not a villain for looking at things practically. I tested the waters on VC, considered the various PMs, and weighed it against the eBay advice I was receiving. It's as simple as that. And for what it's worth, I've been contacting my buyer and keeping close tabs with him. Turns out he's working on completing a Thrice collection of his own, and he was extremely grateful that I was able to provide one of his few missing pieces. So... because he has deeper pockets than you, you think it's cool to visit completely unrelated threads and slander my name? Were I in your shoes, I would have shrugged my shoulders and gotten over this days ago. I've actually been in your situation, though amplified for the worse; buyers telling me they're going to sell me something when they "go home for the weekend", receiving their Paypal info, etc., only to have them back out at the last second. It's life, and it happens. I don't fault them for it, and I sure as hell don't run around talking shit about them. *edit* Curiosity got the best of me, and I referred to my Outbox on the off-chance that I had accidentally implied I'd sell to you. And I literally tell you - twice - that while $140 is a good number, my odds would probably be better on eBay. I even recommended saving your money and waiting on a repress. I also mention that I'd be taking a day or two to decide what I officially wanted to do. Do you struggle with reading comprehension?
  6. Wait. Are we still going on about this? I'm sorry for seeking advice from a vinyl community, following said advice, and proceeding to make $140 over your "incredibly reasonable" offer. Throw in the fact I started my listing at $0.99, didn't set a reserve, didn't offer an asinine BIN price, and didn't even bump my thread. [Minus the part where I helped a guy score a used copy for a reasonable price.] If all of that makes me an idiot or an asshole, I think I'm okay with it. Especially over a record that you'll wind up buying for $25 next year, when it receives an inevitable repress. It's time to move on. If you're getting this bent out of shape over an offer that I had entertained for an hour, I dread the day when an eBay seller may actually screw you over. OP has my apologies for derailing [t]his thread.
  7. So you're still happy with the durability, almightyseancore? Being in the IKEAless boat myself, this seems like a perfect route. The capacity and dimensions are also picture perfect for my collection and room, too. My only concern is that I've got a few friends who insist that Target furniture is rubbish. And if I'm going to entrust this thing with my vinyl library, it needs to be legitimate. At this point I'm just concerned about long term stability. Also, does Target always offer free shipping on orders over $50? Or is this just a Christmas special?
  8. Yeah, I think I lucked out. A Popsike record to be sure. What's crazy is that the guy who won the auction just bought an Alchemy boxset for $450, a few days ago. I also had bid-notifications tied to my phone. It sat at $200 all day, and literally spiked up within the last four seconds. No exaggeration whatsoever. Snipers gonna' snipe.
  9. Wow, that didn't last long at all. I'm actually really happy that a fellow VCer managed to grab it. Totally a steal if you're not worried about the jacket aesthetic. Congratulations blanchard.
  10. Not mine, but another listing just went up for a used copy. $100 BIN. I figured someone would be interested in snagging it before a bidding war begins. Go go go.
  11. Thanks a ton, guys. You're both awesome.
  12. Check the variant on the bottom right corner of the jacket's backside. Does it say Light Blue? I'm just curious.
  13. I doubt you were alone. I recall several people ordering all of the PTSBBAM variants as soon as they went up, and not scoring a clear copy in the process. I believe they're just randomly distributed among the "buy-all" crowd. But we should probably first confirm if they're even taking this approach. I'm leaning towards those who are speculating they'll be reserved for the shows.
  14. Potential details are very vague, I'm aware, and I understand if you're not at liberty to release any info prematurely... but I heard mention of a possible x2 LP press? Is that even a realistic possibility? I also wonder if the cover would be different, and-or mimic the actual CD.
  15. I've been seeing this more and more, actually. Probably not my exact forte, but pretty cool nonetheless.
  16. Yeah, clearly I made a mistake by creating this thread. I didn't mean to wave around a copy of the album and entertain $70 offers. But if you're broke as hell with the holidays coming up, wouldn't you take the most practical route to profit? I'm sorry that I realized this a day after creating the thread. My bad.
  17. And so it will sit for a week, only to boost up in the last hour. Mmm eBay. You speak the truth. I did say that I wasn't necessarily looking for eBay prices. And while I had briefly thought of turning to eBay, it wasn't until I really considered Cesar's post (and several PMs) that I decided to truly entertain the idea. And that's what I've been thinking about for the past 24 hours or so. The last mint copy fetched $250+ on eBay, with many consistently at or around the $200 mark. The $60 - $90 difference, there - albeit ideal - would make a huge difference for the holidays. It really comes down to what makes me feel like less of a douche: refusing a reasonable offer from a stranger on VC... or trying my hand at eBay, to maximize the amount of money I get to spend on my friends, family, and loved ones at the end of the month. I went with the latter. Sorry, guys. The fact that this is (most likely) getting repressed made the decision easier, too. Anyone who truly wants this album on wax should definitely be able to get it for under $30 in the coming years. That's enough to keep my sleep intact.
  18. For the most part, I think I agree. But that clear-haze and maroon-black haze are just... wow.
