  1. Pretty badass... and like you said, $20 doesn't seem too shabby at all. Thanks for uploading the pic.
  2. How's the quality on that, material and detail wise? Love the JD album art, but I'm having a hell of a time finding one of the prints. That flag just may suffice for the time being.
  3. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought this.
  4. Keep checking their Merchdirect store from time to time. For whatever reason, the Vheissu LP was restocked a few weeks before Christmas, last year, just for a day or so. I don't think it was a repress, but it was $25. Wish I could help you... but I lucked out, myself. I can't believe how much people have been asking for it on eBay.
  5. Any word on the pressing numbers for the standard / blue variant?
  6. So... this arrived in my mail today. And I've got to say, it included some of the best extras ever. Among typical band stickers, I scored an Annette Charles trading card, a red [Power] ranger vinyl sticker, and a paper parrot ornament (which is currently rocking the chandelier in the kitchen.) Very pleased. The record is fairly cool too, I guess.
  7. Really? I can see how the bottom half of the text being cut off could look cool, and how the animation would expand the text, completely. But like on the "04 Tour Dates" button, right below the T, you can actually see part of the background only when you hover over the button. I think that if it were truly intentional, the background would remain static... hovering or not. I'm somewhat passionate about web design, and I'm obviously being anal about this, since the site is absolutely awesome. That was just the only thing I questioned. Trivial, really. Congrats on the sexy web-launch.
  8. Not sure where that was established...? Act III is on white, to my knowledge, and Act I & II are being pressed on clear and black vinyl. Thus far, at least. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. Thanks for the pics, Batman. Looks pretty gorgeous. I think that even the "generic" white lyrics on the black background is pretty crisp looking. Looking forward to finding mine in the mail, soonish.
  10. I'd be stoked to see photos, if you've got the time.
  11. $40 - 50? What a dipshit. Can't wait for these to show up. I've been craving some Act II lately. And I've been holding off just so I can get my fix of it on vinyl.
  12. Or, you know; blue > orange. That was the deciding factor for me. Since I'm not a variant whore, the choice was pretty obvious.
  13. Personally can't help you out with the shows... sorry. But I had been meaning to ask: given the sales of this release, what kind of odds are we looking at, to see The Question pressed in the near future?
  14. I was dreading the removal of my wisdom teeth since early childhood, when I'd see various friends' older brothers return from the procedure with swollen faces, black eyes, and mouths full of bloody gauze. (You'd swear they had been in a fight, as opposed to the dentist's office.) I had "all" three of mine removed about two years ago. I opted to use anesthetics, and the entire procedure honestly felt as if it took two seconds. I recall staring at the ceiling's pattern as they were prepping my arm for the I.V., at which point a nurse [?] informed me to take a deep breath and relax. And without so much as blinking, the doctor asked if I was ready to stand up. Fastest 50 minutes of my life. Kind of wish I had been staring at a clock, just to see what it would have looked like. I quickly learned, post-operation, that all my worrying was in vain. But as a few members have mentioned - the outcome will obviously vary from person to person. How well you handle the pain meds; how quickly your gums heal; there are just a lot of factors. I believe I bled for a few hours of the afternoon, but that was pretty much it. As stated, Macaroni & Cheese is an excellent route to go. I personally lived off of chocolate pudding and scrambled eggs. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Worked wonders. And like Kittenmittons pointed out, you really want to avoid breaking your blood clots / newly formed scabs. Doing so results in dry socket, I think the term is called? I could be mistaken. It's supposedly painful as hell, and doubles the time necessary to make a full recovery. As long as you relax your jaw, you shouldn't have much of a problem at all. You're supposed to avoid straws, cigarettes, and anything else that would create suction. Just as a heads-up. I wouldn't try chewing anything during the first day, either, just to be on the safe side. Pudding, ice-cream, and possibly soup are ideal. Kind of rambled in this post. Sorry about that. As someone who was a total pussy about the procedure, I can say that it was absolutely nothing to sweat. That was just for me, though. I have a friend who found out he's allergic to percocets, after taking them. He ended up hurling his guts out shortly after his operation. All the tension and heaving tore all four of his scabs-in-progress, so he had a mouth full of dry sockets to top it off. I suppose shit like that just happens. Not trying to give you a lovely story to take with you into the doctor's office or anything. The chances that everything goes smoothly for you are quite high. But best of luck, regardless.
  15. Quoted for truth. But I applaud your guess. Both are applicable.
  16. I don't know what's more absurd... Hating a band you would otherwise love, sans one dud album... or insisting that IOAM is > The Question.
  17. Hey boys and girls! -- The word of the day is condescending. Assumptions sure are fun. Can't speak for everyone, but Jane Doe is the last Converge album that I'm absolutely crazy about, that I don't own on vinyl. I've been holding off for ages on grabbing a copy from eBay, in hopes that it would eventually get repressed. And when it did, I pre-ordered one copy for personal use and enjoyment. Fuck flipping a repress. I just want need to hear this record on wax. I'm in the boat of people who aren't phased by the delay, for what it's worth. Regardless of whether records are released on time or delayed, people need to realize that complaining about it accomplishes nothing. Until someone invents a time-machine that's fueled solely off of bitching, that is.
