  1. I'd say 10%, give or take. Really, it's only when I find something I'd love to have on vinyl, and can't find anywhere else. (eBay and trade sites included.) I always tell myself that the shipping won't be worth it, and that it's too costly of an investment... but alas. I somehow always squeeze the trigger. My heart goes out to you vinyl collectors overseas, who are almost exclusively raped with shipping charges. You have dedicated hearts and wallets, for sure.
  2. Hilariously sad, but I rule nothing out these days. I'll be making an effort to sell it to someone who I know will genuinely enjoy it, and not toss it up on the 'bay.
  3. I picked up an extra copy, and would love to trade it for a Jesus Glue that I missed out on. If there are no takers... I'll probably sell it for $10 PPD, to someone who missed out. Just to be a dick and prove all the skeptics wrong.
  4. I'd also interested be interested in pressing info - notably the numbers for each variation, and which repress number this is.
  5. I've always wanted to own a copy of this record, and I'm really digging that jacket variation. I hope that's what the actual product looks like. Regardless; ordered. Phenomenal price, and I'm really digging the free shipping. Cheers all around.
  6. Would be up for a test press as well, assuming the price tag wasn't outrageous.
  7. Are you at all familiar with the eBay seller awesomebuttons? She essentially just changed her name. In my opinion, her last few auctions - especially that On My Shield 7" - have been some of her craziest ones in a while. Tough times, I suppose.
  8. Quoted for truth. If mewithoutYou released an album detailing how we're all heathens and will be going to hell unless we conform to Christianity... then I suppose we'd have a problem. In the meantime, though, I'll never understand why some folks insist on docking bands (or albums) a few respect points simply for their religious undertones. I once read a post about Thrice's Vheissu, describing it as the "would-be" pinnacle of the band's material if it weren't for the Christian lyrics sprinkled across the album. I couldn't believe that. Are people that bothered by references to religion or the bible? It's their loss, I guess. I'm far from a vegetarian or Buddhist... but if mewithoutYou released a record highlighting their beliefs in both subjects, I'd be all ears. So long as the music is good. That notion seems lost on a lot of people, I guess. Pointless rant. Don't care.
  9. I know it's a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it regardless. Don't all of the current YFM presses come with a poster of the album art? If so, would it be safe to assume that the repress would sport said poster, too? Just curious.
  10. Just spun my copy to verify; I has no skip, either. Your situation sounds as unlikely as it does annoying.
  11. Just wanted to swing by this legendary thread to congratulate RJ on a release well done. Despite all the headaches we've received, and all the flack you probably got in return, the end product turned out wonderfully. And in the end, I'd say that's all that really matters. It truly puts the Triple Crown release to shame, in my opinion. Those center labels are pure class. Cheers.
  12. After so many "instant deaths" (bogus checkpoints), I do believe it'll reset you back one checkpoint further. I think they implemented that in H2. Was extremely frustrating and problematic in the original Halo, for yours truly.
  13. It may be worth noting that this is my first purchase from AFS. Just as a point of interest. *edit* Juan; congrats on nailing my sentiments down to a T. And in under a minute and a half, no less. I'm impressed.
  14. Or will it be a release at all? I understand that shit happens. The Jane Doe [re]press is evidence of that. Genuine problems that are beyond foresight or control. But how long did the JD fiasco take to sort out? A month or two, tops? On top of that, Jake and/or Tre gave us accurate updates. They didn't bullshit us by saying that "the vinyl will be arriving next week" -- four weeks ago. The fact we've received nearly 10 months of delays is simply awful, and makes AFS look rather shitty. But like I said; stuff happens. I get that. I also understand that a portion of it was (/is?) out of RJ's hands, with legal issues pertaining to album art or band royalties. But going back to Deathwish as an example, it's obvious that some labels are a little more "prompt" in dealing with setbacks, appropriately. The best part is that we're not even out of the woods, yet. There's no telling what the next unforeseeable delay may be. I probably wouldn't be half as bothered if RJ didn't update the thread with false information. The record will be released when it's released - I'm well aware - and I also know that no amount of bitching or whining will speed the process up. But I'd rather be pleasantly surprised to see this in my mail, months from now, than to keep being updated with "will be assembling in two weeks" or "should be good to ship by the end of the month!" again and again. It shouldn't bother me; especially after the 12th bogus update. But... whatever. That word alone sums up my thoughts on this whole release.
  15. I'm going to laugh / cry when a celebrity dies and awesomebutton decides to make a quick buck off of them.
  16. This is pretty awesome. Ten cents has easily been my closest, but you clearly take the cake. Instinctive bids. Serious business.
  17. This is only crazy because the dude / bid below me was $21 even. No idea what drove me to tack on the extra dime at the last second, but I'm glad I did.
  18. This is the part where I make a snarky remark about being above you guys and your shitty, free health care.
  19. Moving Mountains - Pneuma. (Test Press / 4) Told myself I wasn't spending anything until my next paycheck. But, I mean, come on...
  20. Oh, you ignore my courteous e-mails, think that will sort me? And sweep me under the rug? While you're swimming in the cash, Filthy cash we all stuffed in your tub. There is a riot in the heart of VC. And it's raging mad with angst. Flooding out the topics till there's nothing but whines, Then pissing me off with yet another delay. 'Cause the record I ordered will never see the light of day. What did you learn tonight? You're wasting your cash, you barely know if this thing exists... A record you will never flip, that's what I say. It is freezing down in hell, And yet no release entails. Goddamn, oh well. You can only blame RJ, that's what I say. ----- ...All in good jest! Still looking forward to this release. Maybe.
