  1. i finally got a hold of the first Gayrilla Biscuits 7" - The Demos - on clear pink vinyl.
  2. First Four Years then Everything Went Black then Damaged i'm biased to some of the later stuff (Family Man, In My Head, Process of Weeding Out) because Bill Stevenson drums on those albums.
  3. thanks for the heads up on the shops. i ended up hitting Morninglory, Just Play Music, Buffalo Records and Salzers. i actually spent a chunk of change at Salzers. however, i gotta say that Just Play Music was totally overpriced. Fugazi LPs for $15? Ramones reissue LPs for $19? that's just insulting. needless to say, i didn't buy anything there.
  4. went outta town this weekend and hit up a few shops in the Santa Barbara and Ventura County areas. most of these are from Salzers in Ventura. 5. not sure if this is the right board for this but since i'm asking about records, i figured it is Can anybody recommend any record shops in Santa Barbara, CA? i'm heading over there for the next few days so if I could hit some shops while I'm there, it'll be cool. Thanks in advance.

  9. i keep any bonus 7"s with the original LP that it came with as it is essentially an extension of that LP.

  11. i've got this Everclear record (their first album) up for grabs. PM if you're interested.
  12. a few things that i'm willing to part with. PM with offers. the only thing that i'm seriously really looking for in trade is the first Gayrilla Biscuits 7" -- The Demos. Face to Face - Over It - Green Vinyl 10" The Killers - Somebody Told Me - Pink Vinyl 7" with poster MxPx - On the Cover - Double 10" White Vinyl Ash - Petrol/Punkboy - Gold Vinyl 7" Single /500 Feist - The Reminder LP NOFX - S&M Airlines LP (Sealed) Everclear - World of Noise - Clear Vinyl LP Slayer - Eyes of the Insane/Cult (Live) Red Vinyl 7" Quicksand - Dine Alone/Can Opener (Stickered Promo 7" - the sticker reads "Special Limited Edition Pre-Release Mixes") Snuff - 1990 Tour Flexi 7" (Blue Vinyl) /2075 Guns'N'Wankers (Duncan from Snuff) - Hardcore e.p. (I believe this is /3200) Modest Mouse - King Rat Sealed Promo 7" The Vindictives - Leave Home (Ramones cover album on Selfless Records /1700) Bloc Party - So Here We Are
  13. Bad Religion - Generator LP Quicksand - Dine Alone/Can Opener 7" Heartworms - Space Escapade LP Gorilla Biscuits - Gorilla Biscuits 7"
  14. i store the vinyl in either a polylined paper sleeve or an old school Discwasher VRP sleeve. if there is an inner insert that that record came in, i keep the record OUT of the insert to prevent any splits from occurring on the inner sleeve. if the actual cover is a bit snug i usually keep the the record OUT of the cover to prevent any potential splits from occurring on the cover. otherwise, i keep the record inside the cover sleeve.
  15. Bullet for My Valentine - Scream Aim Fire (double LP) The Mars Volta - Tremulant e.p. (yellow vinyl)
  16. Just because Jim Adkins made a passing comment that he wanted to repress the JEW backcatalog doesn't mean it's going to happen for sure.
  17. Was Jim at all involved with BWR? I could have sworn I read somewhere he was... i don't know if Jim was involved with BWR apart from the fact that they probably developed a good friendship after releasing the Jejune/JEW split. it'd be great to see the old albums reissued (even though i've got them all), but i'm not holding my breath.
  18. incidentally, has anybody pre-ordered from Aural Exploits directly? (not from their eBay auctions). do they charge you immediately or do they wait until the pre-order is actually released and available?
  19. well ain't this a bitch? i just got the 180g reissue a month ago after having looked for it for months! i suppose i'll order this as well. damnit.
  20. Yeah but you have to wonder how Big Wheel got them, maybe Capitol only has CD rights or something of that nature? Capitol licensed the LP rights exclusively to BWR. so i think Capitol still has the rights to them (both CD and LP).
  21. both Futures and Chase This Light are very easy to find. The first Jimmy Eat World album (on Wooden Blue Records) was only ever available on CD. as much as i love JEW, i'd be very weary about these reissues actually surfacing anytime soon. Jim's been saying that Western Tread will issue Stay On My Side Tonight on vinyl for last 2 years. but we'll see...
  22. those EITS records are available from the Temporary Residence website for $15ppd each.
