probably because he set it as a limited release of 2k then changed it to 4k then took that "limited" number off.. finally after a super long time they took it down only to re-open it recently AGAIN even though they were already weeks behind on shipping to all the people that already ordered it months ago. Between the record and the cd release that is probably over 10k signatures. so I would say there is a good chance he is having someone helping him, it might not be rare for musicians to do signings but it is pretty rare at this high of a number. even if not though for 35, you get a basic 1lp release with a very bland insert that has a "k" scribbled on it. All that while it is already 10 dollars cheaper, readily available and will probably be 15-20+ cheaper easily in the future if you wait a bit. If the whole situation was not handled so unprofessionally I would have been fine with it but I am glad I was able to get out and spend that extra money somewhere else. at least that is my reason. nothing wrong if you want to stick with it but there is no question this entire release was handled pretty damn bad from the very beginning.

Yeah, that response you got was pretty shady honestly considering everyone that probably cancelled today including myself. I wonder if someone is getting pissed about all the cancellations so they started sending that response out instead hoping some people will just stick with it.

they tried to get me too and I told them I would happily keep my order if they price adjusted it a bit for all the miss-info and how late it is..... 5 minutes later, I got a cancellation email haha

I think many are going to have the seam split due to how the sleeve was made, mine had it right out of the box as well so that copy wouldn't be bad if you do not really want to join VMP for anything else. Like ryan said, it used the MoFi masters so it def. sounds pretty damn good to me. Looks and sounds beautiful!

let us know how it sounds, i will probably pick this up sometime soon. On the subject of Slightly Stoopid, I just recently saw them live and they sounded god awful. Such a let down because I was hyped for the show.

can someone who owns it comment on the quality? I almost bit at the price until the two mentions of it I saw on discogs. One guy said it was mediocre and another guy basically said it was awful. I am not looking for it to become my best sounding record but I am on the fence enough to just let it go if it is as bad as those two people made it out to be. I have no doubt we will see it on sale again sometime in the near future either on Amazon or src.

Yeah, I just already have an RO system but most people that said they were using it seemed to just be starting to use it so I was not sure. I did see her 1:4 mix, just so many different recipes out there which is why I wanted to ask here and get something going that people have had a chance to use and get there first hand experience. Is there something wrong with the triton x-100 or swan 99% isopropyl ? Using those along with distilled water would be much cheaper then any quality pre-made cleaner I found, unless I am missing something? It might not be all of the highest possible quality but from what I gathered those ingredients seemed to create a pretty solid cleaner people seemed happy with? plus making my own is kind of forcing me to learn more about it all which I am def. lacking knowledge of something I should know since I have been collecting so long. that is crazy about the rt-pcr water. Just out of curiosity since you brought it up do you know what percentage of the water is actually usable after going through all the filtration's to get it to that level?

I just recently bought the MK-III VPI and am looking to make a nice solid cleaning solution I can hopefully continue using for quite awhile. After reading so much information from here and all over the place I think I finally chose my final "recipe" at least for now. I was going to go with the Kodak Photo-Flo but seeing people say it could possibly cause damage over time I decided to just go with... Triton x-100 4oz bottle (is $16.20 a solid price?) 99% Swan isopropanol alcohol Reverse Osmosis water If I went with lets say for a 32oz bottle would this be a good mix? 24oz RO Water 12oz 99% alcohol 2-3 drops of the Triton x-100 (I seen some guy on Amazon say he used 8-20 drops which seemed pretty high?) I have mostly seen a 3 to 1 mix like that and some did a 4 to 1, has anyone seen much of a difference between those two? I was planning to do a second pass with pure RO water but I seen several people say that with a good VPI that is not necessary? I will try both ways myself but I am curious to hear what people that have already done it hundreds of times think.

I wish they had a package that had the signed lp with a poster instead of a signed poster and unsigned lp. I will probably just go with the signed lp by itself though, happy to see this coming out on vinyl regardless!

I completely agree, it is nice seeing them not being afraid to do some less known underrated music like this instead of just re-releasing a bunch of stuff that is already readily available. A lot of people do seem excited about it, I guess all these songs were only previously available on separate 7"/45's until now. This months album was just announced earlier today. I am not familiar with them at all honesty but the little bit I heard sounds pretty good. I would be weary on the bricks though, I heard Kendricks intern just finally finished the signed albums so he is now working for Marshall who has him out in Detroit collecting "child hood bricks".

wow, that is an absolutely ridiculous price.. I am def. not touching that box set now sadly unless that price drops significantly which I doubt. That's closer to what I expected the inflated post-sell out ebay price to be... The bonus stuff is kind of weak too, especially for that price point. I am really liking the mat but the lithographs are not very tempting from what I can see and the box looks like a quick mediocre photoshop job... Massively disappointing considering how long I have been waiting for something like this to drop... Oh well I guess, I just hope the individual releases all get the same remastering treatment that Jah Wont Pay The Bills got and I will still be happy with that. Especially finally having the acoustic album on vinyl!
