I have the blue from HHR. Some awesome packaging too. The triple lp "sleeve" is extremely thick and the artwork looks great

A majority of the record is piano ballads. The 2nd song is really the only faster tempo upbeat sounding song. It's one of those records I feel like you have to sit undistracted and listen to. Not really something I would put on while I work or something

As someone who enjoys new Mark quite a bit I completely understand why people wouldn't like it. Definitely not for everyone, especially if you enjoy RHP and early Sun Kil Moon. Almost feel like he should stop calling himself Sun Kil Moon at this point and just Mark Kozelek

I like his newer songwriting approach more too honestly. It feels more real. My only gripe is when he rambles over music instead of singing. I really love the style he had going on the Desertshore and Jimmy LaValle records. This record would be a great single LP if he cut out a few of the clunkers. But overall it's pretty good after 2 listens

There are some great songs but then there are some parts that make my eyes roll out of their head. I feel like that is just par for the course at this point in his carer.

I don't know if it's spite that he isn't really doing vinyl but more just that he doesn't care. It's weird how indifferent to merchandising he is in general.

I don't recall anything taking as long as it's been for UT. It's going on 2 years since that was released
