  1. Agreed. That's Monopoly money for an LP to me. Also, if you really want your mind blown, start looking up Italian library records on Discogs and you won't believe the abundance of four digit album sales you'll come across for LPs of random music by people no almost no one has ever heard of.
  2. It's absolutely the going rate. Plus, read his description; he's having a kid for chrissakes and outright saying that his priorities have changed a bit suddenly and that he is willing to sell his prized windfall if he gets market value. I don't get the objection. He's honest, transparent, and appears more than happy to keep his awesome record. I wish more sellers were this honest.
  3. Then you chose wisely, mmfood. But then you do have good taste. Waxwork is cool and Blood Diner is insane, but Chopping Mall is just right. Perfect 80s horror cheese. A re-watchable as good bad movies get. Congrats, mang.
  4. I laughed, dudes. Which disc is in here, 2.0 or the 25th anniversary? Perhaps something altogether different. On the international shipping tip, it seems like folks are having better luck by NOT choosing the cheaper option at checkout. DHL appears to be the servicer of that option and almost all of their packages get dinged for import duties and the like. Folks that pay the more expensive shipping option up front usually have their goods arrive sans tariff. Most people also agree that even though it's more up front, they save money overall not paying the import fees though ymmv as per usual.
  5. Also, FWWM is likely to be in the $30-35 range since it is a 2xLP affair.
  6. Awesome. I wonder if Waxwork has gotten their hands on any extra material. There was so much more than originally released, but to my knowledge, it hasn't appeared anywhere except as re-recordings. Dare to dream.
  7. Congratulations, WalnutSoap. You're one of the good VCers and a damn fine fellow to boot. You can be certain I'll have a copy in hand come Wednesday.
  8. Agreed that the 18% should exist through the end of the calendar year, but they've stated up front in the past that the discount doesn't apply to shipping or subscriptions. In fact, of the four or five different labels I've had subs with, I've never been able to apply a subscriber discount towards a new subscription.
  9. This was...unexpected. https://mondotees.com/collections/the-bunker/products/10-cloverfield-lane-original-motion-picture-soundtrack-2xlp
  10. I don't think early renewal matters with Waxwork. I believe their subscriptions are open enrollment so there won't be a hard cap, of say five hundred subs, but rather anyone who wants one can get one for the three or four weeks that the subs are on offer.
  11. Nope. Just subscriber-only variants of each of those scores. It seems unlikely they would have polled the general public and then not sell it to them. Plus that license is a money-maker; it would be short-sighted to limit it to just a few hundred pressings at most. Not in for the Sub, but definitely looking forward to ED2 and Don't Look Now. Not sure about the other three.
  12. Outside of the Pixies, I did not. Until I went back and listened to it then much came flooding back. Still, I passed on this release for now. Maybe the next time 'round. Thant's great news. DWRC certainly had a good influence on Mondo (eliminating random variants, etc), but Mo has had a huge, huge hand in improving their overall customer service and accountability as well. They have become a trustworthy brand for certain.
  13. Nate, you bloody tastemaker, you've nailed it again. PYA will be a must-own for certain. I will say that while Mondo hasn't had as much that's interested me this year as usual, DWRC has released several scores and Originals that've tickled my fancy. That's cool and all, but you're hard earned dollars are going right into the pockets of Big Vinyl. Is that how long a day is in Canada? Are they metric hours?
