Color me intrigued. Did Derek and Gotcha meet up?

I think there's an albums worth of lyrics here on page 111.

We did!  Derek even brought his gal pal along with him.  We were all having a great time until a gust of wind came out of nowhere causing his lady to blow out of her chair and snag on the table creating a slow leak.  Derek was visibly upset and headed out to the local hardware store to get a patch.  Hopefully she's alright.  #PrayersForDerekuIbt6vf.jpg

Ahhhh typical Derek.  Always ending some no backbone statement with a meme.

Hit me up with a PM if you wanna roll down for a beer.  Otherwise, seriously, go take out some of your angst by making the drive and throw a pounding to your gal pal.  Unless....she doesn't exist and is just deflated under your bed waiting for an inflating.

That's very astute of you – I think I made one post in this entire thread mentioning the fact I live an hour and a half away from the girl I'm dating.  I'm not sure if I should be impressed or appalled by your dedication to personal detail.  Since you enjoy logging VC lives in your journal at home, you can probably refer to your prior scoop on me and discover that I live in the middle of fuck-all nowhere, Northern California.  (Refer to the time you threatened to make a detour from your Cali vacation to pay me a visit and beat me to a pulp, or whatever equally cringe shit you posted on one of your various old accounts.)  Not that you genuinely care, but I don't date local because the whole "farmer girl" thing isn't for me, personally.  You're going to have to try a lot harder to live up to that username to GET ME.

Since you keep returning to this thread, can you at least give some actual advice?  Like how you managed to trick another human being into tying the knot with a bitter, inept degenerate like yourself?  I bet that's a story worth reading.  My full sympathies to your wife and the horse shit she has to deal with on a daily basis.

    You so mad, bro.

I'm actually in CA right now.  You should drive down and we'll hang out.  Sound good?

I'll stop responding.  It's the internet, you let this really get to you.  It's funny.  You're actually explaining yourself to me, like I care?  I see you're super fired up and passionate and won't stop until you feel like you've got the last word.  I'll let you have it.  You win, Derek.  You win.  Now get in the car and make the drive to see that gal pal instead of wasting time on a Saturday responding to posts on the internets, dummy.

I'm actually kid of surprised you follow this thread so closely.  I get that you're really wrapped up in the lives of strangers on the internet, but please go back to managing your eBay listings and talking shit about your neighbor's wife so you can get your clock cleaned the fuck out.  As a firm advocate of karma, I legitimately cannot wait for you to get what's coming to you.

I don't follow closely, just a skim through to enjoy the drama of people who post so openly about personal shit on the internet. It's fantastic.

I do find it hilarious that you can't find someone local to date and have to drive and hour and a half to be in a "relationship".    Speaks volumes of what women think of you locally.

Hilarious how charged up you dorks have gotten over my comments.  Especially Derek.  I enjoy when Derek gets extra charged up, throws karma is coming at you type statements, and can't move on with his day without responding.....multiple times.  Totally rules.  Also, thanks for checking out my EBay listings and keeping an eye on them.  Shocked you follow them so closely.

This post suggests that you are a very happy individual in a healthy relationship with zero insecurities.  I completely believe that you are not secretly miserable.

While I appreciate your presumptuous post, you are incorrect.  Most of what I read in here is total shit show material, and I enjoy it.  It's sad and hilarious, all wrapped up into one thread.  Who needs soap operas when you have a VC relationship thread?  The only thing missing is Thomas rolling in here with his hypochondria while having a relationship issue.  I pine for that day.

Good luck with your long distance relationship, I'm sure it will work out just fine since you're such a stand up chap.

Please, post some more so you can try to push for an argument over the internet, which is clearly what you were aiming for with your last punchy post.

Yeah i get what you're saying.  I think I give her slack because it's such an obvious defense mechanism...  maybe I'm too lenient haha.  Because I know she does.  Her actions tell the whole story.  It's these little freak-out moments when she pulls the "i don't want a relationship card" and but I think I'm going to tell her I need the weekend to think....   I don't want to really be around her right now because I'm disappointed in her behavior.  As much as she wants to come up here...  I need to process.

I enjoy reading your drama because my marriage is so enjoyable and normal.  Please stay in this relationship and keep posting.  You deserve each other.

I have the same hopes, but my expectation is that it isn't :/

I listened to most of it, and think it flows well.  It's music, though, so folks are either going to like it or they won't.  It seems to have some heavier passages compared to some of their previous records.  I'll listen to all of it tomorrow on my flight to the west coast.

I ordered from importcds last week...everything came perfect.  They ended up sending me the color variant of the bosnian rainbows lp instead of the black one i paid for, and they added in an extra record, iron maiden's death on the road.  Never listened to iron maiden before, not sure if i should keep or sell.  Made another order yesterday, hopefully it ends up just as well.

Never listened to Maiden.....man, you're doing it all wrong.

Very much so.  I'm ok with losing half of a day over cancelling the entire trip, but I'm not super confident about my flight tomorrow.  If it does completely fall through, I'd try for either April or June.

I hate to say it, but expect to not get out tomorrow.  I had an east coast flight out to Vegas tomorrow morning.  It has already been canceled and re-booked to tomorrow afternoon, which I'm certain will get canceled or severely delayed as well.  It's just a bait and switch for the airlines to bide time while they figure out how much the storm impacts areas.

  10. Just so folks know, if you try to order multiple titles, you have to do each separately.  I e-mailed Earache thinking it was a cart issue because it kept removing titles from my cart when I tried to add a 2nd title.  They responded that it's 1 title per order because if a certain record doesn't meet it's goal, then it would be a lot of leg work on their end to do refunds, etc.

All fair points. I think I'm just talking aloud. I actually have an interview tomorrow morning for a new position in my department that could be good. I think you're right, I just need to wait out the meds. Side effects are subsiding, except horrible nausea, stomach pain and my head feels weird. I have a 3 day weekend coming up, so hopefully that will help. Just need to make it through the next 2 days, and then Monday I go see my doctor to see what my next steps are.

I get it, nothing wrong with talking aloud either to help sort through things.  I just wanted to throw my perspective out there as I've been been there before when dealing with high anxiety and hating my job.  Another thing you might consider to help with anxiety and overall health is taking up yoga, karate, or some form of exercise.  Exercise has helped me a ton over the years with stress, anxiety, etc.  I got huge into going to LA Boxing type fitness class at the height of my anxiety, and it was incredible how much it helped both my anxiety and overall confidence.

Fulltime job. I'm debating going back to my old job for a bit, which is half of what I currently make and no guarantee I'll get the same hours. It's nights, which would be perfect to find a therapist during the day. Losing half my income is pretty daunting though, but it'd be enough to survive.

Hey man, I'm not sure I get this thought process.  A week or so ago you turned down a job that was only $6K less because you keep saying you're going to work towards moving in early / late summer and didn't want to jump around jobs because it looks bad on a resume.  Now, you're talking about working a home based job if you can find one OR going back to your old job AND taking a 50% pay caught.  Seriously, that makes zero sense.  ZERO.   At least from my outside perspective.  I know you're having a lot of anxiety issues, which can make your brain jump all over the place.  I get it.  I've been there before.  Fortunately I haven't battled it in years, but I'm also in a much better place in life (THANK GOD).

As a suggestion, maybe you should let your meds start to kick back in to see if that helps bring back some normalcy and calm your anxiety.  Obviously therapy could also be helpful, but I would assume there are therapists who could accommodate your current schedule if you decided to go down that road too.  One time I was going to a therapist and was able to get really late sessions.  Maybe it would be helpful to set goals, a 1 month goal, a 2 month goal, etc., and stick to it instead of bouncing from X to Y to Z, etc. on a near daily basis.  If you're serious about moving and finding a new job, do it, don't just talk about it.  Set a plan and take action to reach that goal.  I feel like succeeding in what you set out and talk about doing will be helpful and also hopefully ease some of your anxiety and other ailments.

That's just my viewpoint, hope it's helpful in some way.  Not trying to put you down, just offering some outside advice and perspective.

no doubt, their shipping fees are way too high.  i can agree that most people may not be affected by it.  i can say personally i've had many records with some form of damage with the standard cheap mailers, so i'm not to biggest fan.

I have found that heavy duty cardboard inserts are key to helping prevent damage.  Finally found the link.  I use these - http://www.ebay.com/itm/231914047678?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=531185006445&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I order 400 at a time, so it makes the cost per insert really low.

These are the mailers I get on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SKCR1QQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They end up being about .40 each, I personally think they're great when combined w/ the inserts, which imo should be used regardless of what mailers you use when shipping records.

Are there better mailers out there?  Probably.  Are the Sleeve City mailers better?  I can't vouch, possibly.  However, for the cost I've found the above to be the best bang for your buck.

  14. 23 minutes ago, Klefki said:

yeah ok.  i've actually purchased both and the ultimate lp mailers on sleeve city are much nicer than the multitudes of ones i purchased from amazon.  they are studier and are actually large enough to hold most records.

I'm not trying to start an argument, my point is, they're not much different.  I've shipped over 6,000 orders in the past 2 years using the mailers the OP is talking about and have had zero complaints and no damage.  Yes, I use the cardboard inserts, but those can be found way cheaper than what Sleeve City sells them for too.  Sleeve City, imo, is over priced on most things.  Especially when it comes to their shipping costs.

But seriously Bloop, why you still so mad that I didn't sell you a Melvins record a year ago?

And really fat shaming a guy who is just over 200 pounds, doh you got me there!

Any ways, take a chill pill the world isn't that bad.

Go fuck yourself.  I don't like you, I'll never like you, and I'll continue to display how little I care for you.  It has nothing to do with a Melvins record, I could give a shit about that.  Those were procured through a friend who lived in St. Louis and happened to be in town visiting family the night of the show, so it all worked out.  My beef with you is you're an arrogant piece of shit.  Don't like my opinion or responses?  Don't give a fuck.

@KingTacoMunster  Nothing against you, brotha.  Eat more taco's.  Taco fat good!

A quick google search of Rancid Flash art produces several results.

Not trying to deter you from making prints of it...but just calling something that is a print one of a kind...a little misleading.

Holy shit, you're such a fucking dick.  Go back to eating twinkies and being a fat fuck.  Seriously, running into a thread and throwing your weight around, which is a lot, at a guy who posted something that he actually made is weak as fuck.  Big bad keyboard warrior Ben no take liking to new guy, acts like a massive fucking douche.  Don't you have some overpriced records to list on Discogs or something?   You want to know what's misleading?  Acting like you belong here when all you do is sit around on your fat ass waiting for the next thread to pop up with a record release to flip.

Also, your blog is fucking stupid.
