Cool, I was hoping you’d dig it. I agree about the prosthetics. There have only been a couple that I’ve found handy. And the lack of drops is a bummer—I miss finding cool armor and weapons. I’ve got loads of inventory that I’ll probably never use. The combat learning curve is no joke. Everytime I’ve felt comfortable-ish with it, the difficulty spikes again.

There's one boss that was really the turning point for me, and the combat has clicked a lot better since. Was stuck for hours though. I think the things I miss the most are the weird community shenanigans and FashionSouls. Really wanna know what @rooks & (impossible to tag) @✦ S U N S H I N E ✦ 日 光 ♡♡ think. It's a pretty huge departure from what made DS great.

It’s really hard. I haven’t quite gotten the combat down for the mini-bosses. Got through 3 of them, but not easily.

I thought the junction system was interesting, but the learning curve was quite steep. I remember not really grasping it all that well on my first playthrough and then having a much easier time on my second. I honestly don't know how I cleared the game on my first playthrough. That last disc was roughhhh after barely scraping by the last boss on Disc 3. I'll never forget, phoenix pinion saved my ass on the final boss--I was yelling at the TV. Parents were not happy. Goddamn I'm old too.

I don't think I could pick a favorite between them all. FFVII is probably the most important for me because it's the first JRPG that I'd played (not counting Super Mario RPG or Pokémon). I love IV and VI w/ the old sprite animation. Vivi from IX is one of my favorite FF characters and that subplot is sooo good...
