  1. Yeah, always buy postage online/through paypal as DC is free for priority, and a lot cheaper for media mail. Also, a single LP should be 2.38, and a double LP 2.77, unless you have a ton of packaging and cardboard making the single LP heavier.
  2. Skipping things like Avatar and Titanic... Pulp Fiction Trainspotting The Big Lebowski Fight Club Those three are what come to mind. But, after doing some research, I'd go with any movie that has the f-word in it over 100 times (though obviously, not all of them are overrated): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_that_most_frequently_use_the_word_%22fuck%22
  3. Burlesque version is up, ice blue already sold out, but their version is still available: http://www.burlesquedesign.com/store.htm
  4. http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/maximum_shipping.html http://pages.ebay.com/sell/august2008update/maxshipping/ http://pages.ebay.com/sell/August2008Update/OtherFAQ/ Note on the first page: "International sellers listing directly on eBay.com in the U.S. are also required to specify a shipping cost less than or equal to the maximum shipping cost on their first flat rate U.S. shipping cost." It only applies to sellers on ebay.com. I someone lists on ebay.ca or ebay.co.uk or ebay.jp or whatever, then this doesn't apply. Also, I used to report auctions that listed higher shipping amounts in the description text, but ebay has never, ever done anything about it. They have the policy to make buyers feel good, but don't implement it in any way, so sellers are never held responsible. If you don't pay the extra shipping, you just find yourself in a situation where you have a paid, but the seller wants more money and you can't do anything to force them to ship the item.
  5. Cool collection, ptrsev. Yes, the black Axe to Fall is missing. What site do you run? After I did my J Church collection, I've been planning on doing Converge next. I'd like to get a shot with everything out at once, but I think I have too much for that. I might just do group shots of each album. Not sure the best course.
  6. Since the person listed the item on ebay.com (and not a non-US ebay site), they are required to offer a $4 shipping option since they listed in a 'media mail' compatible category. 2008 is when ebay imposed that policy, and there is no exception for international sellers. Call it a tax on foreigners to have the luxury to sell to us Yanks. Anyway, so you don't get in trouble with non-paying bidder junk, just pay the bill for $9.99 + $4, and nothing more. The selller may or may not send you the item. You always have paypal protection, and the seller can get in trouble for not sending the item (just like you can get in trouble for not paying). Just remember, you are under no obligation to pay more than the minimum listed shipping amount for that category. If you really want the record, then be generous and send the extra money, because it is a rip off for international sellers.
  7. It's funny how people don't understand how the internet works, or search engines for that matter. EDIT: Dang, someone already beat me to the punch...
  8. Framing. I have some of my favorites already framed, and have plans to do some more, but otherwise I keep as many of the prints as possible in portfolio books. So they are flat and relatively protected, but can be easily accessed to flip through and display. There are some that are too large even for a giant portfolio book, so they live in my flatfile. I don't store any prints rolled in tubes. With this method, enough is never enough. I don't have to worry about running out of wallspace.
  9. J CHURCH Wasn't going for a complete variant collection, because as is this is a 50+ piece collection, not counting duplicates. Was more into the cover art than vinyl color, but those are noted below. Order is arranged roughly in chronological order, but some exact dates were hard to pin down. Oldest at the top left, newest bottom right. I've also listed what I'm missing at the bottom if you want to sell or trade me any of my wants. 7" j church - she said she wouldn't SACRIFICE (allied) j church - this song is for kathi (broken rekids) j church - no one has a future (damaged goods) blue j church - she has no control (dead beat) clear yellow j church - she never leaves the neighborhood (dead beat) repress /500 j church - ivy league college (broken rekids) j church - lama temple (damaged goods) - 2x7" clear yellow/baby blue j church - sleep (dump) j church - my favorite place (honey bear) clear light blue j church - tide of fate (broken) j church - alone at night (honey bear) j church - V.M. 10. A seven foot? Check out http://ircalc.usps.gov/. Assuming it doesn't weigh more than a pound, it's around $10 for first class international shipping.
  11. Yeah, everyone should just watch this http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/tech/smartest-machine-on-earth.html, for the back story, and leave the game play for Jeopardy. Splitting up games like that is just weird.
  12. I'm up to 62, but that includes roughly 4 duplicates that I'm trying to unload. Still, if I sell what I'm trying to get rid of, and get these new prints, I should be around 60. What, this thread isn't about me me me?
  13. scotty, sending you a PM now
  14. I bought 4 items from LP auctions about a year ago, but now I can't even find the auction section. I can find the auction page where it explains what service they offer, and it asks if I want to "auction something", but I can't see a list of active auctions or search through their auctions. Maybe there aren't any up now?
  15. Someone on DF (user IG88) posted their Failure collection: Two 7"s is confirmed.
  16. I have this LP on White, Peach, and Black. I used to have numbers on them as well, but I'd have to look that up. I can confirm peach is the rarest, and white less rare, and black the largest run. And peach was /300. Not sure the numbers for white or black.
  17. Repress on black is up for sale... (bumping giant thread for Juan)
  18. I don't have pictures of the ones that aren't framed (most of them). I currently have 47 Bannon entries in my EB collection. I am counting the "No Heroes" set as 2, and I have 2 copies (different colors) of the "The Harvest", so that gets me to 49, and this one in the mail makes 50 (well, now that I think of it, I have two complete sets of "Our Circle Is Vicious", but I'm trying to sell my extra set so I'm not counting those 3). I still need Unloved + 3 of the early giclees + Hephaestus + the Damages giclee (and I consider having more than one copy of "They're Only Chasing Safety" out of the question). You know, most of the rare stuff, ha. Part of me wants to track down the other colors of "The Harvest" that I don't have... But I'd say it's a fairly complete collection otherwise.
  19. You know it. If my count is right, when it arrives, it will be my 50th Bannon print.
  20. I'm so going to buy up all the new releases from this year that I've been sleeping on. And maybe some more shirts... gah. Is the Sea Beast excluded? (just curious, as I already have that print)
