  1. Edited my post above, see (strikethrough) Also though.... I just noticed that my two discs are quite different colors!? One is a very 'swampy' green, the other is a more true forest green? Interested to see if anyone else can confirm this for their copies. If it is intentionally done I think its pretty cool... (Conspiracy Theory) The reason this is delayed so much is one of the discs sounded like Sh*t the first time they pressed (swamp green). Then they came back and re-pressed all the second discs and they came out a different color (forest green).
  2. Yeah got my swamp today too! looks phenomenal! Still might want to grab a splatter as well though....? Also Hot Topic came and went unfortunately :'c ** Seeing as its not listed on the "vinyl" page in the store (I found the link via google). Its also possibly stub, and its not yet for sale. http://www.hottopic.com/product/august-burns-red---phantom-anthem-double-vinyl-lp-hot-topic-exclusive/11196022.html
  3. Looks like it went quick, took my eyes off it and its sold out. Thanks for the headsup though
  4. Dang.... Splatter looks so hot. (Insert that meme here about cheating on my SwampHaze with the splatter) Now I am wishing i had grabbed both. Still, curious about this HT release, though im guessing its solid green?
  5. (insert string of expletives) I am always about 2 seconds too slow on these things.
  6. Oh man, I never really got my hopes up for anything better... but.... Vinyl doesn't ship for 5 months, shipping costs are the usual ridiculous amount, and every variant is a splatter STILL, I think the new track is pretty cool (FLUTE SOLO?), and I am an idiot so I am grabbing one of each (Clear and Pink) It doesn't say anywhere.... but I am really hoping these are 180g, just because the three previous albums all are.
  7. Hmm appreciate the insight here. I will try to buy a longer cable and run it past my pc (turned off) to see if the PSU is whats casuing the bulk of the hum. The pre-amp and table are both within 5 feet of it after all. And yeah, the pre-amp was cheap so if I can isolate that as the issue I would def. drop some money for an upgrade.
  8. Hey yall, Just got my Nuclear.Sad.Nuclear as well. Got the transparent green with black haze, looks exactly like the mockup, super stoked on it. The jacket is gatefold and heavyweight, vinyl seems to be 180g, and they threw in a bunch of bonus stickers and download codes. I also missed the x/100's of Rosy though, grabbed a black 180g but WTB a different variant, specifically the milky clear w/ black smoke. If anybody has a line on a copy lmk! Don't want to validate the flippers asking 60$ on discoggs.
  9. They said something in a earlier email about how shipping would be staggered based on your order date. So if you nabbed this ASAP when it went up, yours might be soon? If you got it late it may be a while (my guess)
  10. Hey thanks for taking the time to read through everything! The dimmer switch is near the speakers (10' away) but nowhere near the record player or pre-amp (closer to 20' away). When I take the dimmer switch from zero, to any higher position, there is an audible "pop" through the speakers and then the volume of the humming increases. I tried touching all over the tonearm as you suggested, (along with touching the pre-amp and other things) nothing impacted the noise at all. I'm wondering if its worth trying a cable (R/W component to Aux) with extra shielding? Seems unlikely... The Component cables coming out of the turntable are hardwired and non-replaceable.
  11. I just watched that entire cheesy potatoes video.... wtf is wrong with me. Still though, Cheesy Potatoes > Yellow Card.
  12. Heeeya folks, TLDR: I have a constant low hum coming through my speakers 24/7 when the turntable is on. Regardless of weather or not anything is spinning. Yes I know its is electrical interference, as turning on my ceiling fan makes it notably worse. I am here to ask for advice on improving the situation. Details Time! Turntable: Modular Component Systems 6202 (Semi-Auto / Belt Drive... Macy's re-brand with Technics guts) Tonearm: Stock arm, reads MCS branding to match. Cartridge: Audiotechnica... of some variety Output from Table: Red/White composite audio cables (these have a small ground cable paired with them, see below) Pre-Amp: PYLE Pro - Model# PP444 (It has "12v Ground" screw to which I have attached and tightened the ground cable from the turntable) Output from Pre-Amp: Red/White Composite with a "composite to 3.5mm aux" cable. This then runs into the soundcard on my PC (bear with me here) So as crazy as that probably all sounds, my tiny apartment layout and speaker setup and outlet locations pretty much mandate my turntable stays on my desk near the pc. The speakers, are then hooked to the PC via a very long aux cable, as the speakers sit underneath the tv across the room. So..... Feel free to tell me I am being an idiot here, but be specific at least. Id like a solution to reduce/limit noise without completely re-arranging my entire apartment. Is there a specific piece in this puzzle that is most likely to be the problem? It is hard to troubleshoot as all the elements are somewhat integral to getting noise out. Thanks!!!!!
  13. Well I need to make sure I am doing my part to contribute meaningless nonsense to this thread.... So let me just say that my Indie copy just happend to come out flawless, no pops or crackle on any sides. I did a crappy direct capture from the end of the song as unecessary proof. 1m long. https://vocaroo.com/i/s0Yqv7wTIt4r Also, good reminder to get some help here on reducing interference in my setup, I get a quiet buzz 24/7, thinking its something with the ground on the pre-amp?
  14. There are more variants than there are copies of the swamp green lol. There is not just a pink/white marble sort of thing, but a blue floating around as well. No word on my PO either, obviously.
  15. Yeah, I need to find some popcorn and watch it all burn to the ground.
  16. To each their own, but you can get a second drive constantly creating a mirrored backup (RAID configuration) for 150$ and the rest of your cd sales is gravy.
  17. Actually also managed to get the white on discoggs, but with a better seller. I think he graded it with wishful thinking... given all the seam splits... but its a nice copy otherwise and got it for about 40$ shipped. Still on the hunt for a good copy of the splatter. The S/T is also still on the list, but prices have come down now due to the repress, which I have and am content with for the time being.... keeping eyes open though.
  18. Pretty much this, just feed the machine. Drugs, vinyl, drugs, enamel pins, lace doilies. Something like that.
  19. I found the URL scribbled on a bathroom stall in a truckstop
  20. Got my indie from bullmoose yesterday. A few seam splits on the inner sleeves but the rest is fine. That thing I's a very nice package. Carboard stock on the outer sleeve alone weighs more than some records. Actual wax is 180g if I had to guess. Poster is cool. All good! Not going to say it's my best sounding record but no pops or noise whatsoever.
  21. Yep, the Keene Machine is still doing cleans. For A brief time their original vocalist rejoined the band (Derek Rydquist) and can be heard on "the spiraling void" single. But, the new album will feature Ken Sorceron (of Abbagail Williams fame) on unclean vocals, including their latest single "Black Star".
  22. I am also excited to see variants! I don't believe they have ever pressed anything on black wax, but 2/3 were with planet Hollywood not Sumerian.. so we will see. Regardless of who was on vocals (I am a big Rydquist Fan) all the singles have been really strong IMO. Not too worried myself. Its sort of impressive in its own way, that the lineup changes every 30seconds and yet they haven't made a bad album yet.
  23. Just listened to the whole album online, this thing rips! Going to need a few more listens but really digging it so far. My black/gold pre-order shipped out too.
  24. Like the others here, wanted it bad for the new art/colorway but couldn't justify the price. Very happy to snag it at 9$. Thanks!!! Sale seems to be over as of this morning however. Cart reads as x/250 remaining.
